A mare like this one, almost always in the money, usually makes an excellent trifecta key horse. A little change in scenery has got to do this animal well. Reading the PPs, it seems like she likes to visit the winner's circle on different tracks. CLAIRIERE - When a pony finishes on the board as often as this mare does, you will usually want to use her in your exotic wagers. This horse likes to win at multiple race tracks. The switch in venue today may be a wake up call. She has the highest earnings per race. Take a good look at this thoroughbred. My selection in this race is CHEZ PIERRE (FR). Has to be given consideration against this field displaying competitive figures lately and an average speed figure of 108 under similar conditions. Could best this group of horses based on the Equibase Speed Figure - 119 - of his last effort. The average class fig alone makes this one a contender. FILO DI ARIANNA (BRZ) - Could wake up with Lasix change (now going off Lasix) today. Casse has him trained admirably to break promptly out of the starting gate. EMMANUEL - He has a very strong distance/surface win record - 3 out of 6. With better than average trips to the winner's circle, Ortiz ought to have this colt in excellent position to win the race.

BOLT FROM ABOVE - Taking a trip down in class; has the capability to make his presence felt. A thoroughbred coming back this promptly after a sharp effort is a good sign. CHENTI - This thoroughbred coming off a strong effort in the last thirty days is a serious competitor in my opinion. This jockey and trainer are dependable together. Win percent when teamed up is extremely hard to beat. Came home fast last time around the track at Gulfstream Park. That type of move bodes well for his chances today. Escobar gets a break on this horse carrying 7 pounds less than last out. This could make a difference right here.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 FIRST CLASS HARLOW (ML=5/2), #7 NO YIELD (ML=4/1), #3 STEP ON IT (ML=8/1),

FIRST CLASS HARLOW - This entrant has been disappointing the public as the favorite time and time again. Where is the pace? None to be found in here to set things up for this entrant. NO YIELD - Pace makes the race and the lack of speed means this stretch-runner will have to rally without any help. Granted the last race was good, finishing second. The lack of any recent activity raises some concerns though. STEP ON IT - Didn't do a whole lot last time out. Probably won't make an impact in today's race. No speed in this field to help set-up his late rush.
