ELYANNA is my choice. The return on investment has been fantastic for this sire with first time starters. Respectable sire stats will play a key role in this filly running well. CHEROKEE - Could provide positive profits based on very good recent speed figures with an average of 68. Has formidable front-end speed and should fare solidly versus this field. Always tough to beat Alvarado and Jaramillo working together, winning 24 percent of their races. FIONA'S MAGIC - Has to be given a chance given one of the top sires around. I like Rios on this filly to give her a competitive chance to hit the wire first.

I've got to go with LA NEGRA NOCHE. Her 64 average has this mare with among the best speed figures for this event. Handler has strong win rate (27 percent) at this distance and surface. Must be considered - I like the numbers from the last race. MEET ME HALF WAY - Bettors ought to take a good look at this one as this mare has one of the best win percentages at this distance in this group. At the top in earnings per start at the distance/surface in this group. THE GIRL OF N. Y. - Has run solidly when racing a dirt sprint race. Should compete admirably in the early speed battle which bodes well with this group.

FAST PAYDAY - It looks like the early speed horses may duel each other into the ground. When the real running starts this gelding should be finishing best of all. Just missed hitting the board on Apr 22nd at Tampa Bay Downs. With decent morning odds in this field, he has my interest.

When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this group.

Ran fourth last out and comes back promptly. GETCHA - When a sprinter is back in a race less than 10 days after his last outing, it generally means he's fit.

Likes to end up on the board though.
