Presque Isle Downs - Race #5

#5 Warrior's Cause	Pace rises for the local debut, but there isn't a ton of serious early speed lined up among those who have already run, and it wouldn't be any shock to see him speed pop this bunch.
#1 Smoke Wagon	Think there are reasons to find him interesting while bringing passable Kentucky form with him, but he's totally price dependent for me, and I'd go shopping somewhere else in he's anything like the 5/2 ML offering.
#6 Exclusive Entry	He goes first out in what might not be the deepest local spot for the level, and he has at least turned in a couple snappy works against the clock ahead of this. Get a look at him on the track.
Race Summary	Warrior's Cause has been flashing some solid pace in those recent starts, and he should be right up on the engine again here in a race where some of the logical experienced players are likely to do their running late.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #7

#7 Rusty My Brother	She's going to take some cash while dropping out of stakes company, but I think she's in line for a perfect run while prompting the pace in here and is probably a tough lean in the late multi-race plays.
#5 Aztec Princess	She has done decent work lately to land some underneath shares, but she's got a little bit of a plugging style late and might leave her running in place while just sharing again.
#3 Hot Bode	Finisher will get a class test after rallying well to roll cheaper when trying the locals, and something like that last one would certainly keep her in the mix today. Wouldn't be a shock, but a couple formidable runners are likely to get the jump on her.
Race Summary	Rusty My Brother goes long for the first time after finishing a distant third last out, but that came in stakes company here a couple weeks ago and probably gives her some room to bounce back while getting into a friendlier spot.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #4

#5 Vaccina	She has dangerous, but hit or miss, pace to use in this spot, and she draws outside of the other speed. They both probably need the lead for their best, but I think this one is more likely to win that early battle and hold late in what feels like a fairly bad spot for the level.
#6 Calvary Kat	She posted a nice debut win that suggests she might have a decent bit of talent for a statebred, and she is an obvious threat while maybe having some upside in the second start. She'll get bet, though, and I wonder if her pedigree is a tiny bit sprinty for the likely price?
#3 Protectthewitness	Her pace was on display last out when she opened a big lead and held easily when handling cheaper, and both of her wins came when she found the lead. She seems capable with these, but she tends to stop when she doesn't get her way -- and I think that's possible while rising to try better.
Race Summary	Vaccina is the classier pace lined up here, and I am hoping the presence of Calvary Kat will help keep the price fair here. 'Kat is the star of the show here as we get to see what she's made of, but I'll try to beat her at a likely short price.

EXPLOSIVE HUMOUR - Trainer, Pappada, has been deliberate with this gelding off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today. Ran in the last race against a much better field at Presque Isle Downs. The move down in class should suit him well. A repeat of that recent performance on Jul 10th where he earned a speed figure of 71 looks lofty enough to triumph in this race. LORD OF LEGENDS - Have to make this gelding a solid contender; he comes off a strong effort on July 4th. Brooks seems to have this gelding primed for a big effort. His workout pattern is super. I like this gelding. Has the topmost earnings per start in here.
