My pick in this contest is SWORD OF DAMOCLES. This gelding has to be given a shot just off the earnings per start in dirt sprint races alone. Keep this gelding in your exotics as Williams has given backers some double digit returns. Will almost certainly compete soundly in the early speed battle which bodes well with this field. WATCHING SNOW FLY - Delong has him trained solidly to break swiftly out of the starting gate. Looks to have a very good class edge based on the latest company kept.

MERINO WOOL - I'm looking forward to this magnificent animal to run a good one in today's event. AZTEC PRINCESS - A campaigner coming back this quickly after a good contest is a good sign. That 83 fig this filly garnered in her last race tells me she's a key player this time out. LOVELY EVER AFTER - This mare is tops in earnings per start. Check out this one in the saddling ring. Girten, the trainer, shows intent by adding Lasix in this race. A positive sign. PROTECTTHEWITNESS - This filly is the longer price of the 'split' entry from the barn of Rojas. Looks like the lone speed of the race. Should be tough on the front-end. This jockey and conditioner's horses have been generating a positive ROI. This filly is in good physical condition, having run a strong race on August 1st, finishing first. This thoroughbred has increased her speed ratings from a fig of 54 to 69 to 79 in a row.

STORYBOOK BELLA - Should be considered in this race if only for the respectable speed rating achieved in the most recent outing. Filly and driver go together like Sonny and Cher. They finish in the money 100 percent of their races. TWENTYEIGHT LATE - Composite pace ratings say this race should shape up nicely for this mare. Looking for a big effort. Don't let a horse with such a sharp winning percentage like this be overlooked.
