Rotation #224209: Champions League | Playoffs | 1st Leg: Wednesday Free Pick Galatasaray Goal Line Pick -130 @ Molde @ 3 ET - The fact this match is in Norway is giving us value with the much stronger club. Yes, Molde is at home for this match but Galatasaray is a strong club and Molde is taking a very big step in level of class of opponent in this one. That being said, the added value of the goal line available at a pick'em here is a big bonus as well. If this match ends in a draw we would get a push on our bet and that is well worth the -130 price here the way I see it. There is just a disparity between the talent level of these clubs and the home pitch price baked into this line is not given enough credit to that disparity. Also, Molde just faced a club from the tiny Faroe Islands. This is a much different kettle of fish to try to fry and it will not work out so well for the club from Norway. Consider the road club goal line in this one. Free Pick GATASARAY Goal Line Pick -130
This is a play on the SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS for our Wednesday Free Play. San Francisco is stuck in a 3-11 run but it is still in the Wild Card hunt as no team is taking charge with five teams separated by one game vying for two spots and the Giants are a half-game behind the Cubs and Diamondbacks. Philadelphia is part of that mix as it sits atop the Wild Card standings, three and a half games ahead of the Cubs and Diamondbacks. Despite the pair of wins to open this series, the Phillies have not been playing great as they are 4-5 over their last nine games. It has been a rough stretch for Alex Cobb as he has struggled over the last month. He has posted a 6.54 ERA over his last six starts after coming into those games with a 2.82 ERA in his first 17 starts. He looks to get his command back for the stretch run. After tossing a no-hitter against Washington, Michael Lorenzen followed that up with another start against the Nationals and was lit up for six earned runs over 3.1 innings. While we cannot expect another horrible performance like that, it is not out of the question as he has allowed five runs or more seven times. Play (953) San Francisco Giants
The San Diego Padres are 5-11 in their last 16 games overall yet have been favored in 14 of those 16 games. They are now favored again when they shouldn't be against a Miami Marlins team that is actually in contention for a playoff spot. Sandy Alcantara has been his usual dominant self over his last 10 starts while allowing one earned run or fewer in five of them. Seth Lugo is 0-1 with a 6.28 ERA and 1.68 WHIP in his last three starts for the Padres. Alcantara is 2-1 with a 2.16 ERA and 1.16 WHIP in four previous starts against the Padres. Give me the Marlins.
The Rays have scored six runs or more in five straight games and in eight of their last 10. They've scored a total of 30 runs in their last two games alone, and here they'll get to tee off versus Rockies left-hander Austin Gomber who has a 5.52 ERA on the season. The Rockies have also been swinging hot bats of late, averaging 8.6 R/9 over their last five games.
