Presque Isle Downs - Race #1

#2 Kenwick	She spied but couldn't stay in the turf sprint debut at Hawthorne, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the winner of that one turn out to be ok down the road, and some second-out upside would keep him in the frame today.
#6 Red Wren	Not much wrong with the debut try here, but she could be stuck with another potentially wide trip from out here at what might not be an appealing number on the tote.
#2 Robbery	She showed some chasing pace before fading badly on the turf in the debut run, but maybe she'll stick around a bit better from a forward spot while trying the locals today.
Race Summary	Kenwick comes out of a race that might prove useful for a Hawthorne maiden run, and I wouldn't be shocked to see her step up just a little bit and land this.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #4

#3 Hector	Price probably won't be much here, but his pace keeps him in the mix from the start at a trip that might allow him to use it a bit more dangerously. Capable.
#6 Planet	He never really picked up going two turns on the turf at Horseshoe Indianapolis, but he might have some upside here while moving to this new footing. Some of the works at Turfway ahead of the debut were pretty sharp.
#4 Why Not Me	He made a mild move before going flat in the debut run here, but he's working with some more ground today and might be able to time that move a bit better.
Race Summary	Hector is quick enough to force a few of these to chase, and I think he looks like a really good fit with this group if he's got any more upside at all today.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #8

#7 Windy City Girl	I'd want a nice number here with form that's all over the place, but she showed a little life going short last out and has been competitive at this price in the past. Interesting if she can build on that last one.
#2 Merino Wool	You can even see on her page the way she was mostly just lacking that final gear to stay in the frame late with better allowance groups, but she has been very tough in the past when facing this kind of cheaper claiming company. Not sure you're going to get a fun price to find out, but she's probably supposed to handle these -- and maybe easily.
#11 Lead Performer	She'll need a scratch to get into the gate here, but I think she needs to be on all the tickets if she goes. Slight drop with some pace to control the race and negate the wide draw? Might do the trick.
Race Summary	Windy City Girl has some price appeal in the main body here, but I'd move Lead Performer right to the front of the pack with her if she's able to get in the field for this one. Hoping 'Girl flashed the start of a brief form cycle last out, and 'Performer has a real chance to wire these if she gets in. All that said while looking for a couple playable prices, and Merino Wool might take this one easily at a short price.

Race Summary	ROLL ON BIG O, fractious in the gate as the favorite, settled into a perfect stalking trip off the dueling leaders, only to wander about in the stretch. Hoping he minds manners better and validates his strong backing in start number three. Bet to win and place.

Filly is a few starts into a comeback here. Should give a big performance today. This filly is in nice physical condition. Finished third on Aug 8th. MISS EASY - A repeat of that recent performance on July 13th where she notched a speed rating of 75 looks high enough to triumph in this event. HONORABLE WOMAN - Won her last after shipping in. I like her again. This filly earned a nice rating of 75 in her last event. That speed figure should be good enough to win this time out. Ranked number one in earnings per race entered. Another confirmation that this animal has class.

GRACIE DANCE - The speed rating last out doesn't fit very well in this race when I look at the class figure of today's contest. Mark this horse as a likely underpriced equine. She probably cannot repeat that last stretch drive effort and win against this group.

PORSUPUESTO - Faced tougher last time around the track at Parx Racing. Based on Equibase class ratings, this is a weaker group, so I will put this horse on my list of top contenders. When a sprinter is back in a race less than 10 days after his last outing, it generally means he's fit. This horse collects a lot of cash per race. Tops in this affair. Getting a break of 7 pounds from last race at Parx Racing. He should make the most of this advantage.

J WASS - You think this horse is going to finish first just because he's always close. Just doesn't win often. August 6th is the last time we've seen this gelding around. JOKEMEISTER - No success for this less than sharp equine in a short distance contest over the last couple of months tells me that this colt is in a tough circumstance MR. TUTTLE - Unlikely for this horse to make an impact with no recent good showings in a short distance event.

Hard not to think about YOURTHEONE as the top pick in this one. This gelding has been battling versus some of the most competitive company in this bunch recently. If effort in the most recent gathering is any indicator, this harness racer will have a very very nice shot in this contest. High last race TrackMaster Speed Rating. Gelding has one of the finest win figures in the field of starters and that could be the deciding factor when they cross the wire. DOC HOUSTON - Can't pass over based on TrackMaster Speed Ratings which have been stellar (82 avg) recently. This gelding has been battling versus some of the most competitive company in this pack of late. ROCKNROLLS SHADOW - Would appear to have a probability at being helped back on Lasix here. Not many folks know, but the 4 post here at Flamboro Downs has been fantastic for a much higher than average win percent.

This race horse will be greatly helped with Kreiser driving. 21 percent winners this last month. SWAN'S FLIGHT - Feel the need for speed, this harness racer has been turning in some excellent speed ratings averaging around 73. This solid standardbred looks dangerous considering the high class figures. Don't toss out of any exotics. CLARIDGE HALL - The brain trust knows that speed is the key in harness racing. This interesting entrant will unlock our way to a nice triumph. Been going to post with some tougher customers of late, has a distinct class advantage. (Average Rating 72).
