Presque Isle Downs - Race #6

#5 Worlds on High	He has generally been a little cheaper than this locally, but his two-back try pegs him as a player in here with a chance to rebound off a modest effort last out.
#2 Warrior's Payoff	Think he has a big claim on this one after the local debut, but I worry that a couple horses drawn to his outside might apply enough pace pressure to keep him honest. Logical player.
#6 Puttheblameonme	They thought enough of him to try him in Grade III company last year off the graduation run, and his recent local tries both stack up nicely. That said, I wonder if his style is going to leave him coming along just a little too late.
Race Summary	Worlds on High might work out a pretty good trip while tracking the pace, and that can also give him the jump on the capable deeper finishers. Price might be ok?

Presque Isle Downs - Race #7

#1 Dream Warrior	No guarantee she's going to be able to relax from the inside, but one of my stronger leans on the card comes in thinking she's going to be a handful here if she can rate at all. She can probably settle just enough to avoid getting caught up on the pace while Protectthewitness does her thing early.
#5 Protectthewitness	She's always dangerous with that pace that can really separate a field by the 5-furlong pole, but I am hoping the filly drawn in the stall outside of her will pester her just enough to leave her vulnerable to getting picked up late.
#7 Feets of Feather	Wouldn't be at all surprised to see this one land it, but her form can be a little dull at times and often leaves her showing up too late.
Race Summary	Dream Warrior has some questions to answer while moving around two turns after flashing some forward pace in her first two starts, but she has shown just enough ability to shut off to think she might get a good gallop behind the committed speed.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #8

#3 Kenji's Empire	Some decent fortune trying to beat this guy at short prices in this space in recent starts, but I think today's his day. He has what looks like the controlling pace in a bad race and should be able to outlast these.
#5 Lute's Angel	He passed a couple while never in the mix in the Mountaineer comeback, but he'll go second off the layoff today and owns a three-back synthetic run at Turfway that would probably drill these if he were to somehow repeat it today. Think you can make the case...
#6 Joyful Ghost	Hoping this guy's presence will keep the top choice's price more playable today, and something like his last would probably be enough to put him on the wire with most of these. Obvious player, but not a lot of enthusiasm here for me today.
Race Summary	Kenji's Empire has come up short at odds-on in his two most recent starts, but the number on the board might get a bit more appealing today with Joyful Ghost likely to take some cash, too. #7 Piton doesn't bring anything on recent form and is out of excuses, but he has a plug-along ceiling that always makes me take a minute to at least consider him -- just get the feeling he's going to pay $75 one of these days.

#6 WARRIOR’S CAUSE (7-2)	Has speed and can use it well on the cutback to a favorable distance.
#1 SHARP SENSATION (6-1)	Controlled soft pace in maiden win at this level, ideal stalking trip in store.
#2 CHIEF REIDER (5-2)	Stands 7/1-2-3 in turf sprints at various venues since late July.
Race Summary	WARRIOR’S CAUSE blew clear stretch leads in his last two 5F grass sprints and could gain some staying power from a one-mile allowance try last out. He finished a neck behind RUNAHOLIC on a yielding course and ran third behind Holy Moly Moses, who finished second in a recent PA-bred allowance. Play 6-1, 6-2 and 6-5 exactas.

OCEAN CITY - This front running sort is running a shorter distance today. Should help his likelihood of winning. Russell is strong in turf sprints. This animal should have no justifications if he doesn't win. Trainer, Russell, has been deliberate with this colt off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today. JAMIE DREAMS - Likes to go to the lead and the fact that today is a shorter distance should be beneficial. Personally, I wouldn't worry about where he finished in his last race (sixth). Should rebound right here in this race, with some decent odds. DIXIE'S TWO STENTS - This pony coming off a good performance in the last 30 days is a contender in my opinion. Rodriguez comes to ride after getting to know the gelding in the last race. Ness moves this horse here to Delaware Park from Laurel. Looking at the horse's recent PP lines, he has shown the ability to win at different racing venues.

PRINCESS NINA - In this race here, this horse has clearly shown signs that she likes the grass. Her speed ratings are the highest in the field for this dist-surf. This mare has the top turf rating in her last race. It doesn't take a college grad like The Brain to figure this here thoroughbred has a good chance. This horse earns a lot of money per start. At the top in this race. Horse has improved at least two Equibase speed fig points in last two races. I look for that trend to continue in this event. NEVISIAN SPIRIT - Potts had been running this mare at higher levels recently. Did win an $8,500 Claiming race though, on May 17th. Could do it again here. This mare is in fine condition. Finished second on August 17th. YO YO MON - This filly is in good physical condition. Finished first on August 14th.

HONEY BOURBON - If you keep selecting these kind of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be frustrated often. Can't really back the favorite when she has multiple failures as the favorite. RUNAWAY MOM - Looked good on August 2nd, finishing first, but no workouts since is a bit troublesome. ALONG THE WAY - A pattern of deteriorating speed ratings 72/65/46 for this questionable contender. Had to give me more than that in the last race. Never made much of an impact.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - PRINCESS NINA - Although she ran fifth on August 30th, the try wasn't half bad. Expect a strong effort this time around.
