        Race 6 - Claiming - 8.3f on the Dirt. Purse: $24000 Class Rating: 97

FOR THREE YEAR OLDS AND UPWARD. THREE YEAR OLDS, 120 LBS.; OLDER, 124 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE AT A MILE OR OVER SINCE AUGUST 26 ALLOWED 2 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $25,000

        RECOMMENDED CHOICES
        # 1 GROUNDED 3/1
        # 4 DR. STEVE 9/5
        # 5 PEMAQUID PETE 4/1
GROUNDED appears to be the bet in here. A solid 100 avg Equibase class figure may give this gelding a distinct class edge versus this group. I like the jockey on this gelding - quite good chance to win the race. DR. STEVE - He has been racing quite well recently while recording solid speed figs. Is worth looking at and may be a bet - strong Equibase Speed Figs (93 average) at today's distance and surface recently. PEMAQUID PETE - Looks formidable to be up on the front end at the first call. Should hit the board without any problem.

          FanDuel Horse Racing - Race #8 - Post: 4:16pm - Claiming - 8.3 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $7,500 Class Rating: 72

          Rating:

          #6 FLASHY RICHIE (ML=8/1)
          #1 KRAMDEN (ML=6/1)
          #4 SPEEDY G (ML=4/1)
          #2 WILLOW RIDGE (ML=9/2)

FLASHY RICHIE - Just missed hitting the board on September 12th at FanDuel Horse Racing. With decent morning line odds in today's race, he has my interest. KRAMDEN - This gelding is in good physical condition, having run a nice race on Sep 9th, finishing third. The jockey/trainer pair of Weatherly and Castro has a strong ROI together. Took a class drop last time out at FanDuel Horse Racing. Castro keeps him at the same level right here. I think that's a good move. Getting a break of 7 pounds from last race at FanDuel Horse Racing. He should make the most of this advantage. SPEEDY G - It looks like Lopez had to learn all about this gelding on Sep 9th when riding him for the first time. Back aboard again today. You'll be generating money right and left by turning your gambling cash onto this jock/trainer combination. WILLOW RIDGE - Have to make this gelding a solid contender; he comes off a good race on September 9th. This jockey and conditioner have a beneficial ROI when they combine forces. 43-56-70 are last 3 speed figures. Improving each time out is something he should do again right here. A repeat of that last race on September 9th where he registered a figure of 70 looks high enough to win in this event.

          Vulnerable Contenders: #8 READY REDDING (ML=3/1), #10 GEORGE'S VISION (ML=7/2),

READY REDDING - This chalk horse may be out of shape without any recent works. GEORGE'S VISION - A strong entrant that's been running well, but he's been off the track in the mornings of late.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Bet on #6 FLASHY RICHIE to win if you can get at least 4/1 odds
          EXACTA WAGERS: Box [1,4,6]

            Race 1 - Claiming - 5.5f on the Dirt. Purse: $7800 Class Rating: 53

FOR FILLIES AND MARES THREE YEARS OLD AND UPWARD WHICH HAVE NEVER WON TWO RACES. THREE YEAR OLDS, 121 LBS.; OLDER, 123 LBS. NON-WINNERS OF A RACE SINCE AUGUST 26 ALLOWED 3 LBS. CLAIMING PRICE $4,000

            RECOMMENDED CHOICES
            # 3 SPUNKY ZOEY 4/1
            # 5 MAYSVILLE MISS 7/2
            # 6 RHYTHM FOREVER 3/1
SPUNKY ZOEY looks very good to best this field. Is worth careful consideration and may be a wager - strong speed figs (56 average) at today's distance and surface as of late. MAYSVILLE MISS - Looks very good versus this group and should be one of the early speedsters. She has recorded competitive figures under today's conditions and should fare well against this group of horses. RHYTHM FOREVER - Could beat this group given the 50 Equibase Speed Fig earned in her last outing. This filly gets a boost with Paucar in the saddle.

              Thistledown - Race #7 - Post: 3:50pm - Claiming - 6.0 furlongs on the Dirt. Purse: $17,900 Class Rating: 56

              Rating:

              #5 HOSANNA (ML=2/1)
              #2 ARTIES CRYPTONITE (ML=7/2)
              #4 WAR MOON (ML=20/1)

HOSANNA - This horse should go right out to the early lead and may never look back. Could wire-to-wire the field. Johnson gets a break on this animal carrying 5 lbs less than last out. Should be helpful in this event. ARTIES CRYPTONITE - After the race aboard this animal on September 14th, the jockey is going to know the mare much better. This mare is in fine physical condition. Ran second on September 14th. WAR MOON - Should do well today. Weight shift of -5 from August 29th race at Thistledown.

              Vulnerable Contenders: #1 HITCH CITY (ML=9/5), #3 CHILLVILLE (ML=9/2),

HITCH CITY - This probable favorite may be out of shape without any recent workouts. CHILLVILLE - This horse hasn't been around in either of her last couple of efforts. This racer ran a disappointing speed figure last time around the track. She shouldn't improve and will probably get beat today running that figure.

STRAIGHT WAGERS: Bet on #5 HOSANNA to win if we can get at least 5/2 odds

                #8
                Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

Presque Isle Downs - Race #1
#3 She's Got Rhythm Think she's a little interesting in this second start, as she showed enough positional pace to think she'll be in another decent spot turning for home, and some reasonable upside today might give her a fighting chance from there. Bankroll builder?
#6 Freydis Her reliable Penn form stacks up well here, but she has already had a lot of chances and will now have to show she can handle the new footing. Obvious player, but it wouldn't be any shock to see her settle underneath again.
#4 Geared Up She's another who has had her share of chances already but still looks like a pretty logical player, I just think you can probably do better price-wise on a couple runners with more upside than this one.
Race Summary She's Got Rhythm goes second out in a spot where the likely favorites are all already fairly short on excuses and tend to be happy to settle underneath. Wondering if 'Rhythm will punch home better today with some upside.
Presque Isle Downs - Race #7
#4 Uncle Kenny Taking a little shot here in hopes a few of them will do battle early on, as I think this longer sprint trip might suit him pretty well -- up to this point he has only raced twice at 4.5 furlongs and twice around two turns.
#5 Going Up No argument from me on his overall form, but I have a mild worry that he's meeting a couple other potential pace players in here and hasn't yet proven he's much for passing horses. Obvious player with his A-game.
#1 Catire Vizcaya He brings a couple Saratoga running lines with him, including that easy graduation run last time out, and I wouldn't be totally shocked if he landed this one from the fence. Worry he'll take the worst of the pace.
Race Summary Uncle Kenny brings cutback pace with him that should keep him in a potentially dreamy spot behind a couple more committed sprint pace players, and the price figures to be appealing to see if the race flow can help him home. #3 Banneker a player, too.
Presque Isle Downs - Race #8
#10 Soul of the Beast She comes back in a super reasonable spot, and she draws well to control or prompt the tempo from out here with what looks like some of the better pace in this group. Think this is the kind of bunch you want to catch when you rise to try winners for the first time.
#6 Connecting Flight She might end up being a pretty good fit at this local level and figures to at least be in a decent spot at the turn in, but I wouldn't want to be here at any kind of short price if she starts taking action. Capable, but not that appealing for me on top.
#7 Organza She has had a lot of chances while seeking that second career win, but she's a pretty honest finisher for this level and should be getting past the tiring ones in the lane. Think she has enough mid-range price appeal to use on some tickets.
Race Summary Soul of the Beast has a right to be tough in here while stepping up off a solid first score, and she's not meeting a ton of serious early burn, which should put her in a great spot from the high draw. Think Organza is the interesting price alternative.

                  #9
                  Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

                  Thistledown - Race #1
#3 STAR MABEE (5-2) Classy 10-year-old had no breathers in latest, seeks 14th win at distance.
#6 ROLLIN ALL THE WAY (2-1) Made quick 3-wide move en route to easy win off six-month layoff.
#7 APPEALING SENORITA (9-2) Sat golden trip to defeat ‘Star’ in shorter sprint.
Race Summary STAR MABEE dueled with the favorite until trip-sitting winner APPEALING SENORITA passed by in mid-stretch. She returns to a distance at which she has won 13 times and switches pilots in her bid for $500,000 in career earnings. Bet to win and place and play a 3-6 exacta box.
                  Thistledown - Race #3
#5 BUCK MOON (5-2) Rivelli-trained shipper seeks second consecutive six-figure season.
#4 HUNTER SCOTT (12-1) First or second in 11 of 14 at one mile on dirt, price attached.
#3 STAR HAWK (12-1) Gets plenty of pace to run at, use underneath in gimmick wagers.
Race Summary BUCK MOON arrives from Hawthorne with two easy wins and a stakes-placed showing against three-peat winner Notary (6-30, $239k) this year. The lightly-raced 5-year-old is strictly the one to beat but don’t expect the 5-2 morning-line price. Play 5-3 and 5-4 exactas.
                  Thistledown - Race #8
#4 INSOLITO (5-1) Good first gear, good spot to use it, good value play.
#7 BUCKEYE SKY (2-1) Closed 2yo season with a bang, hasn’t been seen since.
