I've got to go with ANITA GRIGIO especially at 8/1. Has been running admirably lately and ought to be up near the lead early on. She has very strong class ratings, averaging 80, and has to be given a chance for this event. Siddo has well above average returns at this distance/surface. PLUIE D'AVRIL - Is worth looking at and may be a wager - strong Equibase Speed Figures (70 average) at today's distance and surface lately. This mare looks good for this event since Simms has a strong winning percentage with horses going this distance. SIMPLE SOUVENIR - She has been racing soundly lately while recording sharp speed figures. Put up a solid speed figure in the latest race. Can run another good one in this race.

CHICA CHULA - Diaz and Calvo have had terrific success together over the last year. This filly's last speed rating registered on September 18th is in the top spot in last race Equibase speed figures. MOBIL CHIC - Always watch out for the longer priced animal when a trainer has an 'uncoupled' entry in a race. Bowen rode this thoroughbred for the initial time last out and comes right back this time around. Ran last race out against a tougher field at Thistledown. The move down the class scale should suit her well. OUT FOR FUN - I'm expecting this fine animal to run a good race in today's event. LINE DANCER - I like to see consistency in a racehorse. Look at this mare's PPs. Almost always in the money. A win pct like 40 is good for any rider/handler tandem.

Just doesn't finish on top frequently. The speed fig last time out doesn't fit very well in this race when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's affair. Mark this racer as a likely underlay.

Has been running solidly and has among the best speed in the race for today's distance. BRIAR JUMPER - Has to be given a chance - I like the figures from the last contest. Must be considered given the class of races run lately. SUDDENLY SEDUCTIVE - Has very strong Equibase Speed Figures and has to be considered for a wager in this contest. Profitable rider and trainer team, with a +8 return on investment.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #2

#6 Elusive Empress	She didn't show a whole lot while getting past a few of them late in the debut try, but she can probably build on that with some more ground to work with today. Wouldn't be shocked to see better.
#2 Shoresy	Her running style has not been well established through three starts -- she has done a little bit of everything in those sprint races, but I think she's quick enough to pick a spot up close early while stretching out. In the mix.
#4 Wait for Tomorrow	I think she'll be in the right kind of spot tracking the pace, and her claiming form elsewhere might fit well enough here. Still, I lean to others, especially if she feels overbet.
Race Summary	Elusive Empress has some upside off the debut run in which she only showed some late interest, but I imagine this mile trip will be within her scope, and maybe we might see a bit more of an even effort today than trying to finish from the tail?

Presque Isle Downs - Race #7

#5 Cantstealmythunder	I thought enough of him off the previous two wins to give him a price nod in the Mile, but there really was never a moment in that race where he was moving in a competitive way, so I'll give him a pass on that and hope the class drop gets him back to his baseline.
#1 America's Justice	Don't discount the hit-or-miss Finger Lakes form, as he brought similarly 'meh' form here last season when he ran a couple of really nice local races. I'd want him on stretch tickets.
#2 Extrasexybigdaddee	Honest finisher didn't miss by a whole lot last time out, and he almost always shows up with a reliable try. That said, he always gets bet, so I wouldn't want another short price in what feels like a competitive race.
Race Summary	Cantstealmythunder wasn't up to the task in the Mile here last month, but I think it's probably a good sign that he's back relatively quickly after that run. Guessing he'll like this group better.

Presque Isle Downs - Race #8

#3 Uptownjacob Brown	He has had his share of chances, but I think he's meeting the kind of group that might be crying out for a finisher of any kind, and his proven ability to at least get past some horses could serve him very well in here while dropping back to this level off the $25,000 try.
#1 Three O One	Think you can make an easy case for this guy while racing forwardly in good form, but the price gets a lot shorter again off the good try last out, and he just doesn't typically punch home with a lot of interest in the late yards.
#6 Sharp Play Boy	He's one of the ones to look at on paper with some recent tries at this level that stack up well going short, but I'm not totally convinced that going two turns is his best game. He's an obvious player, but I'm going to stand against on the stretchout at what is probably too short a price.
Race Summary	Uptownjacob Brown typically comes alive too late, but this race feels like it could be slow late, and maybe his grinding late ability will be enough for him to track down the leaders in time.

Horseshoe Indianapolis - Race #3

#1 HE SAID CASH (9-2)	Changes equipment and rider, seeks duplicate of MSW race two back.
#2 PHILLIP SNOW (5-2)	Has speed but was beaten favorite in four of his last six starts.
#3 WE MISS OTIS (3-1)	Gets class relief, ran his best race at this distance two back.
Race Summary	HE SAID CASH was no factor on the class drop to this level, but he adds blinkers and changes jockeys after a deceptively good try two starts back. He re-bid after he checked and lost momentum into the final turn but it was too late. Bet to win and place.

Horseshoe Indianapolis - Race #4

#6 SUNSIGN (6-1)	Gets ample pace flow to launch a contending rally in this spot.
#4 MISTER MACHO (7-2)	Led after a half-mile in 7 of last 9 starts but only won once.
#5 OVERTHETOPJUSTICE (5-2)	Steady check-getter but winless the last two years.
Race Summary	SUNSIGN, who posted the fastest of 50 workouts prior to his last start, left too much work to do and his rally fell short of an in-the-money finish. He remains a late-running threat, nonetheless, in his second start on the cutback in distance. Bet to win and place.
