CLOUD STORAGE - Trainer Mattine moves this horse down in class to face a weaker class today. Look for a strong race this time out. Filly took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape. LOIS - I think this filly is ready to run a good one. She's had enough races since the layoff and should be fit. This race horse is racing on the turf for the first time. She should be tough, coming off a first place finish in her race on Jun 22nd on a sluggish track. Kimura is reunited today with this equine after enjoying some pretty nice success riding in the past. LINCOLNVILLE BEACH - Ran last time around the track against a better group of horses at Woodbine. The move down in class should suit her well. This horse has recorded the best recent turf speed figure at the distance and surface. This horse has the class to win the race. A tactical ride by Salles, and this one could bound home the winner. RIFLING - The jock and trainer combination have a profitable return on investment when they join forces. I like to play this angle, a thoroughbred coming back off a nice effort within the last month or so. This horse wins a lot of cash per race. Tops in this affair.

This filly garnered a speed figure in her last contest which likely isn't good enough in today's event.

Recent figures for the rider - 31 win percent - make this mare stand out in this group. HUSH Y'ALL - Must be given a chance given the class of races run lately.

It's hard to beat a +123 return on investment for a jockey and handler. The Sep 15th affair at Charles Town was at a class level of (52). Dropping down in class ranks significantly, so she should be in a good spot to take this race.

The Brain always tells me to stay away from horses in short distance contests that haven't hit the board in sprint events lately. S S FOUR QUEENS - Mediocre fig last time around the track at Charles Town at 4 1/2 furlongs. Don't think this vulnerable equine will improve too much in today's event.

Remington Park - Race #5

#6 Kamikaze Blue	Think she's got enough speed to be involved early on here, and her only career turf try wasn't all bad when going long in Minnesota in July. Think she might like this trip and might like it here. Think she'd still be appealing at something a bit shorter than the 6/1 ML price.
#10 Witch Way Gray	She ran well at this trip when facing cheaper back in August, and I think she gets the right kind of draw to prompt the pace as everything unfolds. She might be dicey late, but I imagine she'll be in the right kind of spot turning for home.
#1 Sugar Mamas Cakery	Not totally sure who is the pace in here, but her previous turf sprints suggest she's fast enough to be in the battle early from the fence. Could see her working something out from the fence.
Race Summary	Kamikaze Blue checks a lot of boxes for me in here while trying a turf sprint for the first time, as she closed the Canterbury meet with good form and brings running lines that make me think she can move up a bit today.

Remington Park - Race #8

#7 Spirit of Spoatie	He has done almost all of his work on the main track, but he ran a pretty big one at 57/1 in that two-back Canterbury run, and it feels as though something like that might be enough. Think it'll either be him or the rail runner.
#1 Tap the Dot	He is definitely supposed to win this one on paper based on overall form and the stakes win last month, but he has lost in allowance company before and is almost sure to get bet.
#4 Majestic Liaison	He's facing better than he did in the score on this course in August, but that was a pretty compelling first turf try, and he's not meeting a ton of other speed. Tries to give them the slip?
Race Summary	Spirit of Spoatie is tactical enough to get the jump on Tap the Dot, and I'm willing to take that turf try at face value as he comes off a modest kind of main-track try here last out. I could probably be talked into Majestic Liaison closer to post time if the price were right, too.

Remington Park - Race #9

#11 Angel Kiss	Strong lean here for me to end the night, as she has run a couple good ones so far and was probably forced a little into a move that was a touch too early to avoid getting pushed out even wider -- think she might sustain a similar run tonight.
#7 Macy Red	She goes first out for a tough team and brings a bullet work with her to this one, so get a look at her on the tote and track. Seems capable enough.
#5 Miss Code West	She brings a really regular worktab to this debut, and she has generally at least been on the quicker side of the morning workers which could serve her well at this short trip.
Race Summary	Angel Kiss might be able to prompt the splits today while drawing wide again, but I think she might still have some room to move forward and stick around better with more conditioning -- third start gets her home?

CREOLE - I expect a lot from this horse. Her speed figs under similar conditions are tops in this group. Look at this pattern of improvement. 51/75/78 are the last 3 speed figs. Russell is solid in turf sprints. This animal should have no alibis if she doesn't win. UP FOR IT - Coming off a sixth place finish at Laurel, some may pass this horse. I'm not. She just missed hitting the show spot, and has pretty good M/L odds today. The addition of the 'shades' usually means that a trainer wants a thoroughbred to show more early zip or to keep her attention focused. TACHEENE - When this jock and handler team up you have to take a look. Rendon and Schultz have been great together. This steed comes out of a solid barn for first-time-starters. Schultz has a very strong ROI (+54 percent).

Difficult to play her in this race. The rating last time around the track doesn't fit very well in this contest when I look at the class rating of today's race. Mark this entrant as a vulnerable competitor. TREASURED GEM - The Brain always tells me to keep my distance from ponies in sprint races that haven't finished in the money in sprint races lately. SERGEANT MOLLY - Not easy to wager on any horse in a short distance affair at 6/1 when she hasn't shown any on the board results in sprints in the last 60 days. Doubtful that the speed figure she earned on Sep 7th will be good enough in this event.
