Your Analysis

No surprise I am coming back with them again.

It was just last Wednesday when I jumped all over Rich Rodriquez and his Jacksonville Gamecocks (+3) at Middle Tennessee State.

I noted Rodriquez took over the program last year and went 9-2. I noted he has 17 starters back for this year and his team was 4-1 heading into the game Wednesday.

Down 23-7 at the half, the former West Virginia, Michigan and Arizona coach gave the halftime speech of a lifetime because what happened in the 2nd half was insane.

They outscored the Blue Raiders 38-7 for the 45-30 blowout win.

Don't look now but this team from Jackson, Mississippi is 5-1 with the only loss at Coastal Carolina 30-16 in a game that was closer than that final score would lead you to believe.

Folks, this team is on the upswing and they are firing on all cylinders right now and I will not pass up the points at home.

Liberty is having a nice year at 5-0, which is quite remarkable considering they have a new coach and only returned 8 starters from a team that went 8-5 last year.

However, a closer look will reveal that their 5 wins have come against 5 teams with a combined record of 10-19 and not one of those teams has a winning record.

I'm talking 2-4 Bowling Green, 3-3 New Mexico State, 2-4 Buffalo, 3-3 FIU and 0-5 Sam Houston State.

Talk about overhyped and overvalued.

As you saw in the 2nd half against Middle Tennessee State, this JSU team can score and is playing their best ball of the year right now.

And at home, on a short week, I will gladly take close to a touchdown all night long.

Don't be surprised to see the home dog win this game outright.
