Mike Lundin's Vikings/Falcons NFL Free Pick

The Minnesota Vikings (4-4 SU, 4-3-1 ATS) have lost their starting QB Kirk Cousins for the rest of the season due to an Achilles injury. Rookie QB Jaren Hall, a rookie fifth-round pick out of BYU, will get his first career start here, and I think the team will rally around him.

The Atlanta Falcons (4-4 SU, 2-6 ATS) are also having quarterback issues. Desmond Ridder has struggled with consistency and will be replaced by veteran Taylor Heinicke for this game.

Neither of them are starting quarterback material in my opinion, and the Vikes defense has played a lot better lately under new defensive coordinator Brian Flores.

The Vikings have allowed a total of only 40 points over their last three games while Atlanta's defense seems to have taken a step back.

The Falcons are 1-4-0 ATS as favorites on the season.

                Dave's Sunday Free Play:

                1* on Houston Texans -2.5

The Key: The Houston Texans are 3-2 SU & 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Texans have been impressive in their last two home games, beating the Steelers 30-6 and the Saints 20-13. I think the Texans fire back here at home following a tough road loss at Carolina at the buzzer last week. The Bucs are a fraudulent team and it has played out since a fortunate 2-0 start this year. The Bucs have gone 1-4 since and three of them should have been by double-digits, but they got in the back door against the Bulls last week. The offense is broken scoring 18 points or fewer in all 4 losses. The Texans have a great defense and will shut them down again. I also trust rookie QB CJ Stroud over Baker Mayfield, who is battling through injury. Todd Bowles is 2-9 ATS off a loss of the Bucs. The ceiling is high for the Texans, while we've seen the best the Bucs have to offer, which isn't very good. Take Houston.

                      ASA

#454 ASA FREE PLAY ON Atlanta Falcons -3.5 over Minnesota Vikings, Sunday at 1 PM ET - You can throw the Vikings offensive season statistics out the window now that QB Cousins is out for the season and WR Jefferson is on the shelf for a few more weeks. To put this into perspective. Cousins is 2nd in the league in passing yards ahead of the likes of Mahomes, Goff and Allen. He had 18 TD’s to 5 INT’s and completed 63.5% of his passes. He’s gone now and Jaren Hall will be his replacement. Hall is a rookie that was drafted in the 5th round making his first start on the road against a solid Falcons defense. Not to mention Hall/Vikings don’t have a running game to rely on to relieve the pressure on this young QB. The Vikings are 31st in rushing yards per game, 31st in rushing attempts and average just 3.6 yards per rush which is 29th. Hall will face a Falcons defense that allows the 8th fewest passing yards per game and is 10th in opposing QB’s completion percentage. Atlanta is making a change at quarterback with veteran Taylor Heinike taking over for the turnover prone Desmond Ridder who has 6 INT’s and 4 fumbles this season. Heinicke has 34 careers starts and even started a full season for the Commanders. Unlike the Vikings/Hall, Heinicke doesn’t have to carry the load either as he has a Falcons rushing attack that is 10th in the league in rushing yards per game at 126. With the Vikings injuries we have no problem laying the points with the Falcons here.

                        Cardinals (1-7, 0-4 AWAY, 4-3-1 ATS) vs. Browns (4-3, 3-1 HOME, 4-3 ATS)

                        ATS: Cardinals +7.5, Browns -7.5, O/U: 37.5, ML: Cardinals +305, Browns -320

                        Last Meeting: Cardinals 37 Browns 14 (10/17/21)

                        Cardinals L10 - 5-5 SU, Browns L10 5-5 SU

I'm all over the Cardinals on Sunday. But this is a game with a lot of question marks. Namely the two teams' starting QB's.

Arizona can score points and they don't give up in games. They'll fight you till the end of the 60 minutes. The Cards put up 24 in Week 8, and are a team that will hang with anyone in the NFL. They may not win games, but they're not throwing in the towel on their season either. A testament to the coaching going on in the desert.

Check out the end of week injury reports for the Browns. They're banged up. Starting with Watson their starting QB. 15+ guys on the injury report currently. Half of that even participated in Wed. practice. For Arizona Dobbs was traded to the Vikings in the wake of the Cousins end of season injury.

We've got word that Tune will be the starter here. That isn't going to change this play as thee Cards still match up here. They know they have to open the playbook up against the Browns and they should be able to find success against a defense that is all of a sudden struggling.

Look for some short check downs and runs in this one to start, which will put the Browns defense up close to the line of scrimmage. Tune can sling the ball and once the Browns start stacking the box, it's going to allow him some openings down field.

Arizona will be much more aggressive in this game than they've been in recent weeks. This is a bit off a trap spot for the Browns too.

The Cards can keep this close and have a chance to even steal it outright.

Some trends to note, Arizona are 4-1 ATS in their L5 games against Cleveland, and are 5-0 SU in their L5 games against Cleveland. On the other side Cleveland are 1-7 SU in their L8 games against an opponent in the NFC West.

                        Cardinals ATS

                        Good Luck, Razor Ray.

                            7* NFL Rams/Packers Free Pick

                            PLAY ON RAMS/PACKERS UNDER 38.5

I'll take my chances with the UNDER 38.5 in Sunday's NFL matchup between the Rams and Packers. This Green Bay offense stinks. WIth last week's mere 10-points at home against the Vikings, they have now scored 20 or fewer in 5 straight games. The offense continues to be atrocious in the 1st half. Packers are averaging 4.1 ppg in the 1st of games this season. Rams offense will probably be without Matthew Stafford and there's a chance star rookie wide out Puka Nacua won't play in this one. As long as we don't see a ton of turnovers or big special teams plays, I just don't see enough offense for these two teams to sniff 40 points. Give me the UNDER 38.5!

Green Bays young QB Love just is not getting into a rhythm and has alot more growing to do in this league before he makes his side viable. The Packers offense has not scored more than 20 points in 5 straight and those problems should continue today. I know the Rams are also not paying well, but according to my power rankings are the superior side.

NFL Road teams (LA RAMS) - after failing to cover the spread in 2 out of their last 3 games, a bad team (25% to 40%) playing a team with a losing record are 75-37 L/10 seasons for a 67% conversion rate for bettors.

Play on the LA Rams+3.5 -119 to cover

Sunday card has the 36-2 NFC East Game of the Year, an Executive Level TIER 1 and they are 7-1 on the year, there is a 15-0 Top 6* in the Sunday night game and our Top Unsurpassed Totals play along with NBA and NHL. FOOTBALL top plays 4-0 on Saturday Comp play below

The NFL Comp play is on the Patriots-2.5 -120 at 1 eastern. Nice spot here for New England as they have won 14 of 17 when favored and take on a Washington team off another close loss to Philly last week. The Commanders are in a negative system here that has cashed 76% playing against short road dogs off a division home dog loss. Washington has failed to cover 9 of 10 vs AFC East teams. They also traded away two top level defensive ends. Look for the Patriots to get the win here today. On Sunday a big card is up with the NFC East Game of the Year from a 36-2 system. Our TIER 1 Plays are 7-1 on the year and that one goes early afternoon. There is a TOP level total and a rare 6* from a 15-0 system on the Sunday night game. There is also NBA and NHL. Jump on now as Rob ends the week big. For the NFL Comp play. Go with the Patriots. Rob V-
