BIG NOVEL - A thoroughbred coming back this soon after a strong contest is a good omen. Torrealba was aboard this filly last time out and was impressed enough to take the animal right back. This race sets up for this filly. I call this the 'Lone Stalker' scenario. When the real running starts, she'll be in perfect striking position. The recent bullet 59.6 work should put this filly on track for today's race. The recent figure of 91 is the top last race speed fig in the field.

Vulnerable Contenders: #4 CORNELIA FORT (ML=8/5), #5 TIZZY TWISTER (ML=4/1), #1 SWEET HELLO (ML=5/1),

CORNELIA FORT - Don't feel this questionable contender will make an impact in today's race. That last speed figure was quite unimpressive when compared with today's class figure. TIZZY TWISTER - This less than sharp equine ran a substandard speed rating last race out. She shouldn't show signs of improvement and will likely get beat in today's race running that figure. SWEET HELLO - In the last affair this mount finished fifth. Doesn't show much potential for her chances this time out. Garnered a common rating last out in a $20,000 Optional Claiming race on Oct 29th. Improbable to see an improved performance off of that figure.

MISTY VEIL - This rider/handler duo has been producing a very positive ROI, right at +89. Look at this pattern of improvement. 74/96/101 are the last 3 speed figures. HIDDEN CONNECTION - This horse should be rumbling in the stretch. XIGERA - This filly is in good form, having run a nice race on Oct 28th, finishing first. I like this filly a lot here. She shows a lot of consistency, finishing in the money frequently. Past Performances show this thoroughbred with three improving Equibase speed figures. Leparoux should be on a live horse in today's race.

Sanchez has one of the top winning percentages in this group of horses in this race with entries running at this distance and surface. SUPER OCHO (CHI) - This horse was sharp enough to post a 'top two' workout recently. I think he's ready for today's event. A win percentage the likes of what Delcid and Sanchez have achieved together is fantastic. I like to bet on this handicapping theory, a horse coming back off a good outing within the last thirty days.
