Purdue -12.5 over Iowa
Purdue had a rigid schedule to start the year, beating outstanding teams. I understand why they slipped up and lost at Northwestern the other night. Northwestern played a soft schedule, had fresher legs, and wore down a tired Purdue team. I am not taking anything from the Wildcats because they are a great team. The Boilermakers are trying to avoid starting 0-2 in the conference, and the key to this game is home court, which means a lot. Iowa has played lousy defensive basketball, and remember, this is against weak non-conference teams. Iowa plays at a NASCAR pace on offense and will turn the ball over many times tonight because of it against one of the best defenses in the country. The Boilermakers will dictate the pace on their home floor, taking Iowa out of any offensive rhythm, and should win by double digits. Take Purdue.
