Analysis:
Pinnacle on FAU Florida Atlantic University The FAU Owls swoop into the Big Apple on a five-game winning streak, with the offense averaging 88.8 points per game in that stretch. Florida Atlantic has done well against the spread this season and have really kicked themselves into gear after an embarrassing loss to Bryant earlier in the season. In their five wins since, they own an average margin of victory of 17.8 points per game. Now the 11th-ranked team in the land, they have to stand on business, and this is a great opportunity for them to do so on a grand stage. Their offense is in full stride right now. They put 96 points up on a No. 12 Texas A&M defense which allows 68.1 points per game, so they shouldn’t have an issue getting enough points versus the Illini defense. This total shows that even the bookmakers think that FAU will score plenty against the Illini’s defense. As noted above, the Owls are capable of scoring big versus good defenses.
