CLEM LABINE - The race may set up nicely for this steed's late kick and he's probably the best stretch runner in the field. You always have to be on the lookout for money making jockey/handler combos; we have it right here. Jacobson drops him down to this level. You don't need too much more from the pp lines to believe this animal will be one to beat at this level. This gelding is the longer price of the 'split' entry from the barn of Jacobson. MR PHIL - This racer could be tough this race, especially since Gomez rode in the last race and now should be acquainted with this one. This gelding is the longer price of the 'split' entry from the barn of Rodriguez. 'Blinkers On' is a time-honored positive angle in handicapping the races. Trainer, Rodriguez, has been deliberate with this gelding off the layoff. Look for a solid effort today. CHATEAU - Was in a $25,000 Claiming race at Aqueduct in the last race. That affair had a class rating of 96 and he is moving down in today's race. A certain serious competitor. This pony coming off a strong contest in the last month or so is a strong challenger in my opinion. Coming off a fourth place finish at Aqueduct, some may pass on this horse. I'm not. He just missed hitting the show spot, and has decent odds today. This gelding's last speed fig is good enough to triumph here, I'll wager on him back again this time out. MAMAN JOON (IRE) - A win percent the likes of what Ortiz and Delgado have achieved together is good. Solid average class rating on this horse. Should have the power to run well on the turf. This trainer brings horses to the grass in shape and ready to win, winning over 20 percent of the time under similar conditions. This equine gets shipped over here after running well at a major foreign track. A good sign in my opinion. LADY EMILY KATHRYN - Horses out of the barn of Joseph have been strong on the grass. Should perform well. Came home in fast time in the last race. A positive sign.

Unlikely that the speed figure she recorded on October 14th will be good enough in this race. MADAKET'S ARROW - Just cannot play this horse. Didn't show me anything positive in the last race or on October 12th. Will be tough for this racer to beat this field off of that last speed rating. Improbable to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's Equibase class figure, so put her on the likely underlays list.
