Analysis:
Pinnacle on Baylor Michigan State’s motto under Tom Izzo has always been Defend-Rebound-Run. This season, the Spartans have done well defensively only allowing 64.8 points per game which is 47th in the nation. However, against tougher opponents they have given up higher totals including the 77 to Nebraska last game out and the 98 to Kansas State to begin the season. Additionally, Wisconsin scored 70 and both Arizona and Duke scored 74. Baylor is one of the top offenses in the nation again this year averaging 91.1 points per game. Impressively, they have only scored less than 88 in two of their games and dropped 95 on a Florida team that only allows 72.8 on average. Furthermore, Nebraska and Wisconsin were able to expose Michigan State’s vulnerability in the paint dominating the glass and scoring from the post. In the Nebraska game, Cornhusker’s forward Juwan Gary scored 20 and Wisconsin’s 7-0 Steven Crowl was able to score 18. Expect more of the same as Baylor’s 225lb Yves Missi will look to take the same advantage. Owning the paint is going to open up the outside game for Baylor where the entire roster can hit from 3. Their 2-ranked 43.2% from behind the arc will be on stage for all to see in this game. Michigan State, averaging 72.3 points per game just does not have the fire power to keep up with Baylor who touts a great defense as well only allowing 67.6 points per game. This is no spot to play contrarian. Baylor wins big. Take the great value with Baylor -2.5

At 7:30 pm, our selection is on the UCLA Bruins minus the points over Boise St. The Bruins were upset at home, 33-7, by California to end their regular season. And the Bruins were favored by 9.5 points in that game. Off that defeat, where they failed to cover the spread by 35.5 points, we'll take UCLA to rebound in this de facto home game (at SoFi Stadium), on Saturday. UCLA is a stellar 29-12-2 ATS after failing to cover the spread by more than 10 points in its previous game (including a perfect 4-0 ATS in the post-season). And it's 31-17 ATS when playing in Los Angeles vs. non-conference foes, and not favored by 14+ points. Meanwhile, Boise St. is a brutal 2-9-2 ATS away from home against foes not off a SU/ATS win, including 0-4-1 ATS vs. non-conference foes. Lay the points with Chip Kelly's Bruins. Pinnacle——Detroit The Broncos and Lions will play a crucial primetime game on Saturday night. Denver is hoping to keep the momentum rolling in its quest for a playoff spot. They are in a logjam in the AFC with several other teams holding a 7-6 record. Detroit is on a quest for its first division title in forever, hoping to get a home playoff game. Jared Goff was horrible outside in the elements on a windy afternoon in Chicago. He threw two interceptions and was sacked four times, only throwing for 161 yards. I expect a much better showing from the offense and Goff in the friendly confines of Ford Field. Detroit is fifth in rushing, and Denver has allowed the most rushing yards in the NFL. They will lean on David Montgomery and the rushing attack to carry them, giving Goff his familiar play-action pass, something they did not do enough of in Chicago. Take the Lions to win by four or more. The Broncos are one of six teams in the AFC at 7-6 and fighting for one of the last two playoff spots. They are on the outside due to a 4-5 conference record, but three of their final four games are against AFC opponents.
