FIRSTHAND JUSTICE - Faced tougher last time around the track at Mahoning Valley Race Cour. Based on class ratings, this is a weaker group, so I will put this one on my list of contenders. Bailey, the trainer, shows intent by adding Lasix in this event. A positive sign.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 OL' L B (ML=6/5), #6 KARAMEL CORN (ML=5/1), #3 TIDE RISING (ML=6/1),

OL' L B - This morning-line favorite hasn't visited the track in awhile. No works since last race. KARAMEL CORN - This gelding hasn't had any in the money results in sprint events in the last couple of months. Don't feel this racer will make a winning move in today's race. That last speed rating was substandard when compared with today's Equibase class figure. TIDE RISING - This gelding hasn't had any recent success in short distance events. Difficult to invest in him in this contest. I'd like to see more preferred recent efforts with oddsmaker's morning line of 6/1.

OVERDELIVER has a respectable shot to take this race. Clark has this gelding racing well and is a very good choice based on the formidable Equibase Speed Figs recorded in sprint races lately. With a very good 74 speed fig last time out, will surely be a factor in this outing. His 69 average has this gelding with among the top speed figures in here. WESLEYAN - The Equibase Speed Figure of 62 from his most recent race looks formidable in here. Has been racing in the most competitive company of the group of animals recently. OJITOS - The drastic drop in class can only aid this one this time out.

WAY RITE is my choice. Could provide positive gains based on decent recent Equibase Speed Figures with an average of 66. Should be considered here if only for the quite good speed figure garnered in the last contest. Have to examine solely on class, with some of the most favorable class figures of this field. ATHENA'S STORM - Her 57 average has this mare with among the top Equibase Speed Figures in this race. The Equibase Speed Figure of 68 from her most recent race looks decent in here. FLOWER POWER - When a handler brings any horse back this soon it is a positive sign. Has to be considered against this field displaying solid figs lately and an average Equibase Speed Figure of 60 under similar conditions.

DREAM BIG DREAMS - Atop this horse on November 20th and Rivera is back again in the irons this time. Jock and conditioner do well when they unite. Rivera and Servis have been reliable together. Is ranked highest in earnings per race. A powerful outing in this race can augment that bankroll. This pony coming off a strong race in the last month is a contender in my book. LONG LEGGED BOY - Utilizing this jock/conditioner combination is a good choice. Ran a lackluster race at Parx Racing last time out. Racing under normal track conditions puts this gelding at the top of my contenders list. Solis seems to have this gelding primed for a big effort. His workout pattern is wonderful.

Vulnerable Contenders: #5 RUNNIN JOKE (ML=9/2), #9 DISTURBED (ML=5/1), #6 GIVE IT A GO (ML=5/1),

RUNNIN JOKE - This racer ran a substandard speed figure last time out. He shouldn't show signs of improvement and will probably lose in today's event running that figure. DISTURBED - Don't believe this vulnerable equine will make an impact in today's race. That last speed figure was mediocre when compared with today's Equibase class figure. GIVE IT A GO - Hard to keep stabbing at this sort of 'bridesmaid' horse. Finished third in his most recent race with a common speed fig. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to win after that in this group.

SWAYING LASSIE - This filly is in fine form. Ended up third on November 20th. This horse could be tough this time, especially since Juarez rode last time out and now should be familiar with this one. Last time around the track on Nov 20th was a good tune-up for today. Got pretty good betting action in that one, but finished third. Have to do better today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 SILVER ABSTRACT (ML=5/2), #9 JULIA'S PROMISE (ML=6/1), #11 QUEEN HADASSAH (ML=8/1),

SILVER ABSTRACT - November 20th is the last time we've seen this filly around. Have to be a little bit leery. JULIA'S PROMISE - I don't have a good feeling about this runner in this event. QUEEN HADASSAH - Should have at least hit the board in the last couple months in a short distance event to be worth a shot at modest odds in a sprint.

SILK ROAD is the clear stand out wager in the eyes of the handicapping team. The consortium knows that speed is the key in harness racing. This race horse will unlock our way to a nice victory. Good for a win wager just off the outstanding prior class stats. Have to like this contender. Should be given a look based on the very good speed fig recorded in the last outing. BAREFOOT BLAZER - This contender looks tough considering the high class markings. We wouldn't recommend tossing out of any exotics. Certainly did like this gelding's last race. Ran a strong 73 speed figure. Major player. CALLALAND - This entrant may have some hidden form, a score would be a pleasant surprise.

GLIMPSE OF VICTORY is the finest wager in this competition. Terrific win percentage combined with recent really good performances. We think he can handle this group. Look for Presley and this harness racer to dominate for this race. Great in the money percentage for the trainer/horse team. HONEST NATION - The knowledge group noted a very promising outing out of this nice horse last time. Hoping for a repeat of that to score. When the trainer Sweeney puts Hanners up for the drive nice things happen. Take a look at the 25 pct return on investment. BIG DADDY RALPH - With a 79 avg class figure, this entrant has one of the strongest class advantages in the group. Could be considered for this race if only for the very nice TrackMaster Speed Rating achieved in the last gathering.
