Thursday NHL Free play. My selection is on Dallas over Vancouver at 8:05 pm et on Thursday.
The Stars have undoubtedly had this game circled on their calendar as they've dropped seven straight meetings with the Canucks including a 2-0 setback in Vancouver earlier this season. I think they're well-positioned to end that skid on Thursday, however, as they play at home on two days' rest while the Canucks wrap up a four-game road trip (and play their third game in four nights). Dallas has reeled off three straight home wins to improve to 9-6 at home this season. The Stars are averaging an impressive 3.8 goals per game in Dallas this season. Note that the Stars are 24-16 in their last 40 games when seeking revenge for a loss in which they scored one goal or less. Take Dallas.
