ZINGALES KING - Racing at a similar level as last race on October 27th at Laurel. I think D'Angelo has found a good spot for him, and I like his chances in this event. Thoroughbred didn't end up on the board in last race, but did beat half the field, and made up ground down the lane. A slight improvement and this horse should be right there at the finish line. THE HERO CODE - Horses out of the barn of McGaughey have been great on the turf. Should do well. Expect this colt to be back of the pack early and come flying down the lane. In my opinion, you need 'class' to be successful on the grass. This one has the highest average class rating in the field. Looking at today's Equibase class figure, this horse is meeting an easier field than last out at Aqueduct.

MACKVILLE - We have lots of early speed with this mount. He could wire this field. A big drop in class figure points from his November 22nd race at Churchill Downs. Based on that data point, I will give this animal the edge. Horse didn't get the best of trips in his maiden trip on the track. Expect much better today. RAPID GREY - This gelding is the longer price of the 'split' entry from the barn of Casse. Last time out on July 15th was a good tune-up for today. Got decent betting action in that one, but finished third. Will do better right here.

FILM ACADEMY - No favorable outcomes for this mount in a short distance contest over the last two months tells me that this gelding is in a tough circumstance I normally try to beat this kind of chalk. Long layoff and no drop in level of competition. WHO SAID GO - 3/1 is not worth the risk for any thoroughbred in a sprint of 5 furlongs that hasn't finished in the money in a short distance race of late. Not normally the kind of animal one plays off of any type of long turnout. ART AND DESIGN - If he goes off anywhere near the morning line odds of 9/2, I'll have to pass.

WHAT ABOUT BOB - Drawing the 5 post at this track has lead to a better than expected win pct. Many selectors will recognize the stellar TrackMaster Speed Rating in the last race. Stacks up against any horse in this group of horses. BEACH BOOGIE - Should be in the hunt again in this race, looking to increase that already high lifetime winning clip. Recorded a 82 TrackMaster Speed Rating last time out. A duplicate affair here should get the win for this one.
