Auburn/Maryland 2:00: Both teams have the opt outs and players in the transfer portal. Heavier weighting in player losses lean to Maryland. Record setting QB Taulia Tagovailoa opting out is a huge loss. QB production falls dramatically to next in line - redshirt sophomore Billy Edwards Jr. Him and redshirt freshman Edge have a combined 13 yards of passing this season. Terps do have a few talented wideouts in Joens and Felton, but TE Dyches (490 receiving yards) is in the portal. Auburn defense won't have its starting corners (opting out) but do have talented freshmen who have significant minutes on the field. Also, Tigers' star lineman Harris is out. Auburn is somewhat deep upon the defensive front. Offensively, Auburn will have its starter - versatile Payton Thorne who got better as the season progressed. And Auburn HC Hugh Freeze utilized the run game successfully behind Hunter (5.4 YPC) to carry the offense. Bottom line: I don't believe Maryland can move the ball enough behind QBs with very little season reps against a pretty well-rounded defense of Auburn. We'll lay the points.

The Saturday Comp Play is on Maryland plus the 6-7 points in the Music City Bowl. The Terrapins are taking points here with The News that Qb Tagovailoa has opted out. They should still move the ball here with Billy Edwards running the offense and they do fit a nice 80% long term system that plays on Bowl dogs in December that are off a road favored win where they allowed more than 7 points vs an opponent off a home dog loss. Auburn who is 1-6 vs bowl teams may not have their head in this game after a brutal 4th and goal from the 31 yard line loss at home to Alabama and a loss prior to New Mexico St. They are 1-5 in bowl games and have failed to cover 7 of 8 vs the BIG 10. This is a play on the MURRAY ST. RACERS-4 for our Saturday Free Play. Murray St. is riding a six-game losing streak and is 1-9 over its last 10 games following a 2-0 start. The Racers have been close to reversing that 3-9 record or making it more respectable as six of those losses came down to the final minute with all six close defeats coming by six points or less. Murray St. came into last season as a total rebuild yet put together an 11-9 record in their first season in the conference coming over from the OVC and the Racers are better equipped this year with a lot of experience and the best frontcourt in the Missouri Valley Conference. Middle Tennessee St. is also struggling as it has lost three straight games and after a 2-0 start as well, it has gone 3-8 over its last 11 games with one of those wins coming against a non-Division 1 team, another on a neutral floor by four points and the other coming at home in overtime. The Blue Raiders have played only two true road games which happened to be their last two games prior to their Christmas break and they have another big 12-day break after this game. Get ready for the Orange Bowl (Players Are Missing Bowl) showdown happening on Saturday, at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, FL. It's the Georgia Bulldogs (12-1, 4-8-1 ATS) going head-to-head with the Florida State Seminoles (13-0, 8-4 ATS), and you can catch all the action on ESPN. The opening betting odds for the Orange Bowl put the Seminoles as two-touchdown underdogs, and the game's total points was set at 44.5. There's been a little line movement in the last two weeks.
