Rotation #201982: Spanish La Liga: Wednesday Free Pick UNDER 2 +120 in Granada vs Cadiz @ 11 AM ET - Cadiz is the lowest scoring club in the league and only has 6 goals in their 9 road matches this season. Granada is not much better offensively and they have averaged only 1 goal per match this season. This one has 1-0 written all over it and I love the value of the plus money on the under in this one and certainly can not envision this match reaching 3 or more goals! Free Pick UNDER 2 +120 in Granada
This is a play on the FLORIDA ST. SEMINOLES-3.5 -115 for our Wednesday Free Play. Georgia Tech returns to action after 11 days off following a trip to Hawaii where it went 2-1 and the Yellow Jackets are now 8-4. It returns to ACC action following an upset over Duke to open 1-0 but that was at home and this team is not built to win in conference road environments as it cannot shoot the ball, ranking No. 309 in shooting including No. 334 from long range. They had only four players coming back from last season, all four were starters but one of the big ones, Lance Terry, has redshirted and now they hit the road where they are 1-2. Florida St. is 6-6 following a loss to Lipscomb at home on Saturday and it is rebound time as the Seminoles were in lookahead mode. It has been a mix of some really good wins and some bad losses, including the one on Saturday, but the focus will be back. Florida St. is getting value here with no one betting them with its current 0-5 ATS run. While last season was a lost one for the Seminoles, they have not forgotten that Georgia Tech ended it in a one point loss in the ACC Tournament. Play (684) Florida St. Seminoles
#662 ASA FREE PLAY ON East Tennessee State -5 over Mercer, Wednesday at 7 PM ET - Mercer has played 6 straight home games, winning their last 5 and they are overvalued right now in our opinion because of that. They have not played a road game in over a month and they are 1-3 on the road with their only win coming by 5 points @ Chicago State who is currently ranked 312th nationally. Mercer has a 7-6 record and not a single win over anyone ranked higher than 220th. ETSU has played the much tougher schedule (SOS ranked 100 spots higher than Mercer) and they still have the better record despite that. The Buccaneers have 3 wins over teams ranked inside the top 200 and they are undefeated at home this season including a win over a very solid Davidson team (ranked 118th). The Bucs are playing their best basketball right now winning 5 of their last 6 including 2 impressive road wins during that stretch @ East Carolina and @ Jacksonville State, both better than any win Mercer has this season. ETSU has struggled at times offensively but they will be facing a bad Mercer defense here ranked outside the top 310 in both eFG% defense and 3 point FG% defense. The Bucs have faced 3 teams this season ranked outside the top 300 in defensive efficiency and in those games they’ve averaged 77 PPG so they should be fine here vs Mercer. ETSU is the much better defensive team in this matchup and they will be the 5th highest rated team Mercer has played this season. The Bears lost the 4 games vs teams inside the top 200 and they add another “L” here. Lay it with East Tennessee State.
The Devils' three-game win streak came to an end in a 5-2 loss at Boston last time out, but New Jersey is still 11-6 on the road this year. Washington is 9-4-1-3 at home and it just broke a four-game slide with a tough 4-3 win at Pittsburgh just last night. The Devils have had two nights off to prepare for this one, and that'll be the deciding factor in the outcome of this one in our opinion; consider New Jersey on Wednesday night!
This looks like a potential flat spot for the New Orleans Pelicans following a 112-75 beatdown of the Brooklyn Nets last night. The Minnesota Timberwolves meanwhile will be looking to bounce back from a loss to the Knicks in New York on New Year's Day.
Timberwolves are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. Pelicans are 4-12 ATS in their last 16 games as an underdog of 5.0-10.5.
The New Orleans Pelicans battle the Minnesota Timberwolves in NBA action. The Pelicans are 20-14 and won their third in a row yesterday. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Pelicans. The Timberwolves are 24-8 this season and sit atop the Western Conference standings. The New Orleans Pelicans have started to get healthy which has improved their play.
The Pels are now 8-3 in their last eleven games. The Pelicans are ranked 12th in the NBA in scoring offense and 12th in points allowed per game. The Wolves are coming off a loss to the New York Knicks on the road. The Timberwolves have the league's top defense but just the 21st-ranked scoring offense this season. The Pelicans are just 1-3 in the second game of back-to-backs this season including three in a row. The Wolves are 14-1 at home this season and have won 7 out of their last 10 games. The Pelicans have been careful with Williamson this season so it will be interesting to see if he plays in this one. Even with him, I like the T-Wolves to take it to the Pelicans early and test out their legs. Take Minnesota at home to cover the number.
At Professionalsportspicks we see a future where those handicapping sports without advanced analytics and data-driven strategies will be left behind.
Our data-driven picks use data integration, search and discovery, and knowledge management along with collaboration with our in-house handicappers. By isolating relevant trends, removing human bias, and targeting only lines with a positive expected value above a certain threshold, our data-driven picks promise to outperform any and all human competitors.
Our models suggest that the value is on the Memphis Grizzlies as a home favorite against Toronto on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will be playing the second game of a back-to-back, but we believe there's enough talent gap to overcome any fatigue.
Supporting trends: Grizzlies are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up win.Grizzlies are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record.
