A tactical ride by Alvarado, and this one could bound home the winner. AGATE ROAD - The 104 recent race speed rating looks strong on paper. This colt has lots of ability on the grass. MIDNIGHT GETAWAY - It looks like Gallardo had to be in the know about this gelding on December 15th when riding him for the initial time. Back atop again today. This gelding won at this distance on September 2nd and was at a higher class than today. Using this rider/conditioner combination is a good choice. This gelding's last speed rating is good enough to score here, I'll play him right back this time out.

Vulnerable Contenders: #8 FUTURE PERFECT (ML=7/2), #2 PRINCELY GOD (ML=4/1), #3 THE GOLDEN ONE (ML=6/1),

FUTURE PERFECT - Just cannot play this steed. Didn't show me anything positive in the last race or on October 21st. PRINCELY GOD - Generally I need a sprinter to have some recent success in sprint events in order to support him. Extended vacation, then came back and finished sixth. Tough to expect much better this time. Hard to put your cash on this speedy one. Too much zip in the event. THE GOLDEN ONE - The speed fig last time out doesn't fit very well in this affair when I look at the class figure of today's race. Mark this horse as a likely underpriced contender.

MSSNAP - Earnings per race is something that I believe can be a very valuable factor. This thoroughbred is ranked number one in this field. CREME DE LA QUEEN - Nunez rode this horse for the initial time last time out and comes right back today. Have to make this mare a contender; she comes off a good contest on Dec 14th.

Earnings per start in dirt sprint races is formidable for this pony. KAPATUDE - Players should probably take a good look at this one as this filly has one of the best win percentages at this distance in this group. Robb has her trained very well to break quickly out of the gate.

I've got to go with RUSE and is a strong value bet given the line at 12/1. Is worth looking at and may be a wager - strong Equibase Speed Figures (95 average) at today's distance and surface lately. This gelding could improve with second time Lasix. Has been running soundly lately and will almost certainly be close to the front end early on. HAKKIMI (CHI) - Sanchez has one of the most favorable winning percentages in this group with entries running at this distance and surface. FREDO - Horses who have been prepared to race at this distance and surface by Sano have shown sharp results lately. He must be considered given the solid speed numbers.

This horse has increased her speed ratings from a fig of 53 to 62 to 66 in succession. IMPERATOR FURIOSA - Taking a trip to a lower class level; has the class to make her presence felt. This filly was impressive in finishing second on a slow track on November 8th. A signal that she should do well against these horses in her first turf try. This horse brings in a lot of dough per race. I believe she can add to the lifetime total right here.
