BADBADBOBBY - Hasn't run at today's trip recently but does have a rating earned last time he tried this trip good enough to win. Believe in this horse. No other viable pace gives this animal a strong chance at the winner's circle. Sub-par performance last time around the track at Parx Racing was due to the off-going (he ended up eighth). Will most certainly do better in this event without the slop. I like a runner that makes a good late run in a sprint race and comes back in a route. AFY KID - Rowland and Gonzalez partnered together are a horse gambler's friend. Last race December 20th was pretty strong for a $7,500 Claiming race so this colt's performance wasn't all that bad. This colt is in excellent physical condition right now. Ran second last out and comes back promptly.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 BOINTHEBACK (ML=7/2), #3 UNION REWARD (ML=5/1),

BOINTHEBACK - Will be hard for this entrant to beat this bunch off of that last speed rating. Unlikely to improve enough to run a figure anywhere near today's class rating, so put him on the possibly overvalued contestants list. I checked out his past performances and he hasn't done well out of the one hole. UNION REWARD - Granted the last race was good, finishing third. The lack of any recent activity raises some concerns though.

OAKS HONEY is my choice. He has been running soundly and the Equibase Speed Figures are among the best in this group. Is a solid contender - given the 82 speed fig from his most recent race. Has a very strong shot here if you like back class. DARK VADER - Is worth looking at and may be a wager - strong speed figs (82 average) at today's distance and surface lately. Should definitely be carefully examined in this event if only for the very strong Equibase Speed Figure posted in the last competition. VISUAL MISSION - Conditioner boasts strong win figs at this distance and surface.

My choice in this contest is SONET'S NAME. Boasts strong Equibase Speed Figures on average overall when compared with the rest of this field. Going in a dirt sprint race gives this mare a strong shot. Has competitive early speed and will almost certainly fare solidly versus this group of horses. ASTONISHING ANABEL - Has been racing strongly and has among the best speed in the race for today's distance. Very good pick to take this race going in a dirt sprint. CUP OF LIFE - Must be carefully examined based on the quite good Equibase speed fig earned in the last outing.

CANT BE TOUCHED - I like this mare. Has the uppermost earnings per start in here today. CURIOSITY KILLS - Was in a $7,500 Claiming race at Mahoning Valley Race Cour last time around the track. That event had a class rating of 76 and she is moving down right here. A certain serious competitor. Lets try to beat the favorites with this mare. Just missed last out, but ran a respectable race. Last out, finished fourth on a track listed as good at Mahoning Valley Race Cour. Will do better in today's race.

RIVERVIEW STEVIE - Hasn't been on the Mahoning Valley Race Course oval in the last 3 weeks. Cause for some concern. When looking at today's class rating, she will have to record a better rating than in the last race to compete in this dirt sprint. TATTERED HEART - Had a hard run down the stretch on Nov 13th and followed it up with another one. Probably won't see her doing it in today's event. CHARGINA - Not likely that this horse will finish better than she did last time out of the box when finishing sixth. The Brain cautions me to stay away from horses in sprint contests that haven't finished in the money in sprint races of late.
