Pittsburgh lost a lot of players from their team last year and will try to rebuild. The Panthers had a great year in 2022, finishing 3rd in the ACC. Freshman sensation Carlton Carrington leads his team in assists and will be a great player as the season progresses. The issue I have with Pitt is their weak non-conference schedule. On the other hand, North Carolina played a demanding schedule and offensively can hang with any team in the country. RJ Davis leads the Tar Heels in scoring. Coach Hubert Davis played the transfer portal well and should have the Tar Heels ready to make the NCAA Tournament. The Tar Heels will play with tremendous pace and overwhelm the Pitt defense. The Panther will have a tough time matching North Carolina’s scoring. Take UNC.
