Major contender. When the trainer Timpano puts Steward up for the drive respectable things happen. All you need to do is look at the 30 win percent. JIMSUN - The handicapping group noted a substantial event out of this race horse last time. Looking for a repeat of that to take the whole enchilada. Recent numbers for the driver - 19 percent win - make this colt a clear choice in the group of animals. REDLAND WRANGLER - Overall statistics look good. Can't throw him out of the picture.

PICKS NOTES
#9 Stage Bell Her form is heading in the wrong direction, but she has been facing better company in a string of special weight tries and has a little upside while trying this softer group. Price should be right without much to write home about in the last couple.
#8 Sassy Walker She owns a couple lines that would make her tough, but I'm a bit worried that she's going to be overbet while bringing some running lines that don't show a ton of finishing punch -- that can be a liability here. Another dangerous dropper.
#4 Coco's Dream She'll try a two-turn trip for the first time here, and she might appreciate getting into the softer spot while racing for a tag for the firs time. Best stuff seems competitive.
Race Summary Decent group lined up for the $50,000 spot, and I think there are a few different ways you can go. Of the dropping players who intrigued me most, Stage Bell figures to be the best price by far, and she might be in a decent spot to see if she can punch past off the turn.

Turfway Park - Race #8
PICKS NOTES
#7 Laura's Charm I liked her last a little bit, and she's probably going to be in a pretty dreamy spot in a race without a ton of really serious early pace. Hoping she's in a spot to engage on the turn then try to hold from there.
#5 Awesome Treat Reliable finisher should appreciate getting down in class after a string of stakes tries, including a couple graded runs in Canada. She was pretty honest here last season, so it wouldn't be a shock to see better.
#2 Up and Down She should get a decent spying run with these, and her local debut was pretty sharp. She has been reliable throughout her career, so there's no real reason to think she's about to take a step back. Baseline fits.
Race Summary Laura's Charm might offer a midrange price while likely racing from a pretty great first-jump spot. I'd also want #11 Mrs. Green somewhere on the tickets with logical synthetic form.

Turfway Park - Race #9
PICKS NOTES
#13 Dooq He'll need a scratch to get in the gate, but I'd give him a look from a spot that could leave him right up on the splits. He's always dicey late, so the confidence level is low, but the price might be appealing enough if he goes.
#6 King of the Gods Decent lean here if the top choice doesn't go, as he'll get some class relief out of the even kind of try in his local debut that might play a touch better with this cheaper group.
#3 Norbert I don't think he has much upside at this point, but he has established a typical effort that looks competitive with these. He just handled some of them last out and won't be a surprise on the wire late.
Race Summary Dooq should be fast enough to find himself close to the action early on from what would be a wide draw if he gets in this one, and I think the price should be playable. King of the Gods gets a solid call in the main body.

Race Summary GOLDCREST can be excused for a rough start last out, but she merits a long look off her prior running lines. She romped off a similar freshening in the fall, earned more than $57,000 as a 3-year-old and looms the one to out-kick late on the class drop. Bet to win and place.
