Saturday NFL Free play. My selection is on Miami plus the points (+4.5) -105 over Kansas City at 8:15 pm et on Saturday.
I didn't really get the sense that the Dolphins were 'all-in' the same way the Bills were in last Sunday night's showdown for the AFC East crown. Miami continues to deal with a boatload of injuries, particularly on the defensive side of the football. I actually think the frigid weather forecast will work in their favor on Saturday in Kansas City. The Chiefs offense has struggled at the best of times this season and will have to navigate adverse conditions on Saturday, not to mention the fact that they'll be facing a new-look Dolphins defense (at least compared to what they saw in their overseas matchup earlier this season). Speaking of that early November matchup between these two teams, that contest certainly could have gone either way but Kansas City ultimately won by seven points. More than the revenge angle, I believe the Dolphins will be fuelled by their playoff disappointment suffered in the Wild Card round in Buffalo last year. Of course, that was a Skylar Thompson-led Dolphins offense (Thompson completed just 18-of-45 passes for 220 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions) and they still had a chance to win the game on their final drive. Note that the Chiefs are just 11-15 ATS in their last 26 games following an ATS win, as is the case here, and 17-23 ATS in their last 40 contests against AFC opponents. Take Miami.
