He has been running admirably and the speed figures are among the strongest in this field. DUNEDIN CAUSEWAY - Paragallo has this colt running well and is a quite good selection based on the respectable Equibase Speed Figures recorded in sprint races recently. Should wake up with Lasix change (on Lasix) today. HABERDASHERY - Look for a respectable pace improvement from this racer who enters with second time Lasix today. If you look closely, this one has some longshot possibilities.

NEXT ON STAGE - I like when a race sets up this way. This filly has the lone pace to bury this field. I like to see consistency in a racehorse. Look at this filly's PPs. Almost always in the money. The Brain taught me this angle. Watch for equines that show good early zip, drop back, then run evenly with a closing kick. This filly is in good form. Finished second on January 7th. YOU'RE FOREVER - This filly's last speed fig is strong enough to prove victorious here, I'll bet on her right back this time around. This filly ran well in her last race but just couldn't beat the winner. Note that she was well clear of the 3rd horse, and looks like a major contender in this field. Falcone, the trainer, shows intent by adding Lasix right here. A positive sign. Earnings per race is something that I believe can be a very key handicapping factor. This thoroughbred is ranked number 1 in this bunch. BY THE GLASS - The morning line odds on this filly are higher than those of the other entrant from the shedrow of trainer Dutrow. Often the longer-priced part of a 'split' entry wins. This jockey and trainer's animals have been generating a positive ROI. Adding blinkers occasionally leads to a better performance on the racetrack.

Vulnerable Contenders: #6 WAKE UP LAUREN (ML=5/2),

WAKE UP LAUREN - Didn't finish in the money on Sep 17th at Belmont at the Big A. Followed it up with another less than stellar outing. Will be tough for this thoroughbred to beat this bunch off of that last fig. Not probable to improve enough to run a figure anywhere near today's Equibase class figure, so put her on the likely underlays list.

GUEST COMMENTARY: The Brain - BY THE GLASS - One can surmise, given she finished outside the top 3 at Aqueduct last out, that this animal did not like the off track. I expect a significant improvement with better footing today.

QUINTECENTS - Could best this group here, showing very strong numbers of late. Has quite good early pace and will almost certainly fare quite well against this group of horses in this race.

Thomas is giving this one Lasix for the first time. A really smart move. ROCKET RIBBON - This animal has increased his speed ratings from a fig of 54 to 67 to 69 in succession. Gets help from McCanna with the addition of Lasix. CLEAR THE COAST - I like to wager on this angle, a horse coming back off a strong race within the last 30 days. Generally speaking, horses on Lasix for the first time should be considered. That's what we have here.

LA CUMPARSITA - The ROI when Beckman and Hester hook up is tremendous. Ran last out against much better horses at Turfway Park. The move down the class scale should suit her well. This mare gets a weight break of -7 pounds from last race. This certainly could make the difference in this race. TRIBAL SPIRIT - When this jock and trainer are put together you have to take a look. Correa and Garcia have been wonderful together. BEAUTIFUL TEMPLE - A thoroughbred coming back this soon after a solid contest is a good signal. You'll be generating profits left and right by turning your gambling cash onto this rider/handler combination. XTRAORDINARYMOTION - Ramos and Minnock partnered together are a horse gambler's friend. This animal didn't run well on a track listed as good in her last race at Mountaineer Park. You should throw out that effort.
