We are taking the Ravens today because they play outstandingly well at home. The Ravens are healthy on offense with the return of tight end Mark Andrews. Baltimore also gets a boost, with receiver/returner Devin Duvernay giving the team a lift in many ways. The Chiefs will miss Joe Thuney at the left guard position; depth isn’t a strong point for them, so we will see if his injury costs them. We lean toward Baltimore due to the physical nature of play and the electric home crowd. I doubt why the oddsmakers bumped the Ravens up another point despite the money being 50/50. Are they trying to get people to load up on Kansas City? Baltimore QB Lamar Jackson is ready to take the next step in his career. Take the Ravens.

49ers -7.5 over Lions
Today’s game features the underdog Lions getting most of the bets and handles. Underdogs that get most of the public love lose more than they win. Did you know the Lions are the # 1 team in the NFL against the spread? Trends like this tend to even out down the stretch. Detroit is the Cinderella pick for the public today. The Lions will be without left guard Jonah Jackson, and Frank Ragnow is playing hurt. Detroit is down a few backups, so their depth needs to be improved next year. The San Francisco front seven will be out to sack the QB. The Lions can pull an upset, but I like the 49ers on both sides of the ball a bit more. The 49ers have one of the best running backs in football in Christian McCaffrey, and they have so many players who can catch the football. Deebo Samuel returns today, so at the very least is a decoy. San Francisco gets a huge boost when he is in the lineup. Today’s game could be a massive trap game for the Lions’ backers, but anything can happen when the game kicks off. Take the 49ers.
