BIG AL's BIG WEST CONF. GAME OF YEAR; 13-3
Handicapper: Al McMordie League: NCAAB Competition: Uc San Diego vs Long Beach State Time: Saturday, February 3, 07:00 pm ET Bet Type: Point Spread Pick: Long Beach State +1 (-110) (Consensus 3) Rotation #: 764
Handicapper: Brian Bitler League: NCAAB Competition: Houston vs Kansas Time: Saturday, February 3, 04:00 pm ET Bet Type: Moneyline Pick: Houston -120 (DraftKings) Rotation Analysis: I am rolling here with the Houston Cougars on the ML for my biggest bet yet this season. We should see a ton of bettors lured here on the Kansas Jay Hawks getting points at home. This Houston team is well coached and tournament tested and this is the measuring stick of their season so far. #1 Seed in the big dance up for grabs here as this would be a huge road resume win. Play on the Houston Cougars ML rotation

Is there an error somewhere? This is showing a 4* for GOY yet he also has 5* on VCU?

Same thing though, this is still 4* according to the other list. GOY is limited to 5* I’m assuming. Is VCU not a 5*?

this is what it says about VCU fam BIG AL's RARE 5* NCAA HOOPS GAME OF THE MONTH
Handicapper: Al McMordie League: NCAAB Competition: Richmond vs Va Commonwealth Time: Saturday, February 3, 04:00 pm ET Bet Type: Point Spread Pick: Va Commonwealth -2.5 (-110) (BetMGM) Rotation #: 688
A game of the year doesn’t have to be a 5*- and usually isn’t.
Seems strange to not exclusively use 5 units for games of the year if using a 1-5 system. I know Doc’s sports uses 1-8 unit system and only uses 8 units as their games of the year and the pregame guys use 2* or 3* but then only a few of the 3* get the GOW, GOM, GOY designation. Seems strange not to at least have GOY be the top of the unit scale as it implies exclusivity.

Thanks for posting this.
Quick question for someone, if the unit scale doesn’t line up with GOM, GOY which one is the indicator of a stronger pick? For example: Big Al’s VCU’s GOM or one of the West Coast Conference GOY? Or just is depend on the capper?

You go by the star rating. The title is basically advertising/marketing. The number of stars indicates the strength of the play.
