Kansas is better than Kansas State in just about every category. The Jayhawks have faced tough defensive teams, so playing on the road is no problem. Dajuan Harris and Kevin McCullar are veteran guards who are great floor generals. Hunter Dickinson and KJ Adams have the size to score at close range and grab offensive rebounds for second-chance points. It’s tough to win on the road in College Basketball, but the Jayhawks are the superior team. Take Kansas.

We roll with the Lakers here as any time Lebron gets to face Jordan in any small way let it basketball records or business, these two love to compete. Jordan is no longer the majority stakeholder of the Hornets but he is still minority stakeholder and Lebron would have loved to face Jordan given their competitive nature and Jordan loves to poke Lebron saying that Kobe was the closest there was to him and it was not Lebron. Note, the Lakers roll into this game playing phenomenally well and you have to give them credit. They beat the Celtics without Lebron or AD. Then, turn around and beat a good Knicks team as a +2 underdog on the road. They have not blowout any one in some time and it might happen here. The Lakers did beat Portland by 24 and beat the Mavs by 17 and they had guys in the score sheet last game and can have up to as many as 10 guys on the scoring sheet and they will all get a chance to play today, hence we like LA today given their bench.

I know the exposure of Jackson State to the national audience is quite high and higher than Southern, but we like Southern here from Louisiana to get it done under their first year coach Kevin Johnson. This is a 12-9 team that is actually quite competent and showed what they can do when they shocked Mississippi State earlier this year. This team is facing Jackson State and Mo Williams who is 8-13 and who has lost 4 straight conference games coming in. Remember, Southern has faced some monster teams this year such as Arizona, only lost to Illinois by 28, Marquette and TCU. This team again beat Miss State, is 6-2 in conference play, did not have a great against Alcorn State down at the half which makes us like this game a little bit more, and although Jackson State has a good squad that did beat Missouri and Arkansas State earlier this year, we will ride the top 150 defense that Southern has for a possible win today.
