I'm not knocking him, I've played a few games but it seems like the juice has gone up lately on the games he's playing.

ya but -160 to -180 on the games is alot. His game yesterday was between -160 to -175

So true!!

Because laying that type of vig daily like he does requires a crazy good winning percentage on a consistent basis. He would have to hit like 65% just to break even. Not a good proposition over time to lay juice like that but good luck to those following.

Agree 100%. I don't think people realize that you'd have to hit between 62% to 64% to just breakeven on ML favorites of -160 to -180. No one succeeds over the long run doing that.

If he's doing better, that's great and I hope people are making money. But as stated, at a -180, he'd have to hit 64.3% to breakeven. If he hit 7 out of 10, you're netting +1.60. That's tough to do. I'm just trying to get people to understand the math and what they're doing when they make a habit of taking ML favorites with that type of juice. If he drops off a little, say down to 60%, the bettor is losing 1.2 units on a percentage that typically would be considered good. Get down to 55% (11-9) and now that bettor is getting crushed (-5.2 units).

I'm just giving out information also.

he has been hitting over 70% on the POD for about 3 months now

And yes over 60% AGAINST THE SPREAD is tough to do
Betting ML favorites people do it all the time Some people think betting a ML favorite in basketball or football is different than betting a ML favorite in baseball or NHL or soccer but it’s not and while it is a disagreement on strategy it’s not an argument Each person has their own way of doing it that’s fine
Plenty of Professional gamblers bet ML favorites
The people that drive me crazy and so far it’s no one in this discussion, are the ones that say “I’ll never lay more than -130 ,140 whatever
as if that’s some badge of honor and that makes them some kind of gambling expert when in fact they are paying their book every week
Maybe those guys need to try a different strategy because the one they have been using their entire lives sure isn’t working

Like I said, he's on a HELLUVA RUN and the juice only matters when he loses, right? Well when he WINS damn near 16 to 17 POD's out of every 20 then what's the point?
