I always believe that the do-or-die game in a best-of-seven for a team down 2-0 is the Game 3 at home, which is the spot the Pistons are in tonight against the Cavs. Yes, Detroit is record-wise, the weakest team in the postseason. Yes, Detroit was blown out the first two games of this series at Cleveland. However, the Cavs are now 41-2 at home, the second-greatest home record in NBA history behind the 85-86 Celtics. Home teams down 2-0 in Game 3 are 9-3-1 ATS and 10-3 SU since the start of last season's playoffs, which includes Utah's two-point win over the Lakers last night. I'll take the points with the Pistons, and if they get squeezed, we still cover.

Not many realize just how big a loss the injury to Dikembe Mutombo actually is. Having Yao Ming at 7'4" is one thing then to have to deal with his sub in the 7'1" Mutombo caused more problems. The drop of to the bench is now huge, because with a 6'7" backup now expect the Blazers to go after Ming in the middle and get to the foul line often enough to cause the Rockets fits. Take PORTLAND!
