15* Detroit Tigers over Kansas City Royals at +145

Nobody can like going against Zack Greinke the way he's pitched this year, but I see value here with the Tigers who are throwing Edwin Jackson, a guy who has given up just 4 runs in his last 22 innings and only 4 ER in 27 innings on the road this year. The Royals have lost five of their last six games while Detroit has won eight of their last 10. Kansas City is scoring just 2.6 runs per gae over their last 7 and 4 runs per game against right-handed starters. Detroit is scoring 5.5 runs per game against right-handers so with two solid arms on the hill tonight, take the better offense at the underdog price.

              Cleveland at Orlando
              Play: Cleveland -1.5

Cleveland is in a 60-28 ATS System that says to Play On favorites after winning 5 or 6 of their last 7 games if they have a win percentage of 75% or higher if they are playing a team with a winning record. Orlando is in a 39-19 ATS Play Against System that says to go against any team that is off a double digit win if the scored less than 100 points if they are playing as a home underdog in this game.

3 Unit Play. Take Milwaukee -105 over St. Louis

Since Jeff Suppan left the St. Louis Cardinals to join the Milwaukee Brewers, he's continued to dominate his former team. Suppan looks to win his eighth straight decision against the Cardinals - and sixth in a row with the Brewers. St. Louis is 3-14 in their last 17 games against Milwaukee.

                  2* Top Play Over 188

As of early Tuesday morning, the posted total on this game is as low as a 187.5 and this is offering great value to the over. Every single game in this series has tallied at least 188 points. This includes Game Three on Sunday which, due to a higher posted total, stayed under even though it ended with 188 points. The significance here is we again get a low posted total here and, yet, there is every reason to believe that Game Four will be much higher scoring than Game Three was. In Sunday’s game, the teams combined to make just 11 of 43 three-pointers. Additionally, the Cavaliers only made 37% of their shots for the game. As for Orlando, they only had 63 shots from the field for the game! This was largely due to plenty of foul calls and trips to the free throw line in what played out as a very rough contest. We expect the “style” with which that game was played to help us out tremendously here in terms of an over. The Cavaliers saw two of their players foul out in Game Three and another player ended up with five fouls. As for the Magic, Dwight Howard fouled out and Hedo Turkoglu ended up with five fouls. Neither team wants to see key players sitting out due to foul trouble and yet they know this game is going to be called tightly.

With all the fouls – including technicals – in Game Three, the referees are clearly trying to take back control of this series. That means that both Cleveland and Orlando are likely to leave a little more open space on defense this one. Neither one wants to find themselves victimized by the quick whistle once again. Also, both teams are very likely to shoot much better after such a poor performance in Game Three. The Cavaliers really haven’t been able to stop Orlando in this series – the Magic have averaged 100 points per game. However, we also expect the Cavs to respond after being held to one of their worst offensive performances of the post-season. That’s why the play here is the over. Cleveland is desperate to tie this series up. Orlando is desperate to take a 3-1 lead and quiet the Cavaliers and their guarantees of a series victory. That spells a back and forth battle with offenses lighting it up tonight with a lot more open space to work with on the floor as the shots will fall Tuesday. Play OVER the total in Orlando as a Top Play selection

                    Cavs at Magic
                    Pick: Magic +1.5

Orlando has out played the Cavaliers in every game of this series and if not for one of the most amazing shots we've seen by LeBron, we'd be looking at a clean sweep tonight. The Magic have dominated the paint and that's why they'll win tonights contest. Guard play can get you to a championship but you need a big man to win it and Orlando has that big man in Dwight Howard. Catching a point here is a bonus as the Magic take a 3-1 lead back to Cleveland.

So much for the bad beats balancing out. I thought Saturday night was bad enough with Oakland blowing a 5-1 8th inning lead and losing 8-7. I have never seen anything like it. I can't remember one game where I trailed by 2+ runs in the 8th inning and pulled out a win the past month and and I also can't remember any single day where I had a pair of horrific beats like yesterday. Arizona had a 7-1 lead in the 8th inning and loses 9-7. That was nothing. TB led 10-0 early, 10-2 in the 8th and 10-4 in the 9th. They even led 10-5 in the 9th with 2 outs. Here is the 9th inning:

walk, out, single, error, out, HR.....walk, walk, walk, walk, single.

I figure Bob Moose is the proper person to pay tribute to above as I seem to attract every moose possible.

The past month has not been a good one. My apologies to people tailing. I was close to taking a day or two off. Let's hope things turn around today.
