NUGGETS - Through the first two rounds of the playoffs the Los Angeles Lakers cruised at home, going a very strong 6-1 SU, outscoring their opponents, on average, 107-93.
In the Western Conference finals, in the first two games against the Nuggets, the Lakers have already lost a game outright and have actually been outscored by Denver 104.5-104 in Los Angeles.
Simply put, the Nuggets are doing something the Utah Jazz or Houston Rockets couldn’t do.
Tonight, Denver is catching about 6 points and will once again keep it close enough and flirt with an outright victory.
Through the first four games of this series the Nuggets are 3-1 ATS and have covered in each of the first two games in Los Angeles.
The Nuggets so far have proven to be a bad matchup for the Lakers, who have grown too reliant on Kobe Bryant, who is averaging 36.7 points per game in this series and is accounting for a little more than a third of the Lakers’ offensive production through the first four games (on average 36 of 103 points).
Denver is allowing Bryant to do whatever he pleases and is taking out the rest of his supporting cast and doing an excellent job of it.
Tonight, the Nuggets will continue their successes against the Lakers and flirt with another outright win and improve to 14-1 ATS in the postseason.
Nuggets-Lakers Total
UNDER - Seventy-eight points. That’s what the Nuggets and Lakers combined for in the fourth quarter of Game 4 on Monday. Seventy-eight.
The Under looked like it was going to deliver through the first three quarters of the game, but that 78-point effort pushed the teams over the total.
Tonight, there will be no 78-point quarter and the teams will come in Under the total for the fourth time in this series.
The Total for tonight is set at around 209.5 points, depending on where you’re playing this. And these two will fall short. So far in this series these two have totaled, on average, 209.5 points. But the aberration that was Game 4 aside, these two totaled, on average, 205.6 points per through the first three games of this series.
Going back a little further the Under has come in 9 of the last 11 meetings between these two and is on a 4-1 run in Los Angeles.
Tonight, the Under will come through again as the defenses dictate this game. Take the Under on this one

3* Wednesday Afternoon Delight on Tigers -106
I'll back Porcello and the Tigers this afternoon in this bounce back spot as he has won his last four starts while posting a 1.13 ERA, allowing only three runs over 24 innings. The Tigers will face Davies, who is winless since April 30th. The Royals have lost all 3 of his last 3 starts and he has an ERA of 7.16 at home this season. He is just is 1-5 when starting against Detroit with an ERA of 5.69 and a WHIP of 1.548. The Tigers are 14-3 in their last 17 games as a road favorite of -110 to -150 while the Royals are 6-15 in their last 21 games as a home underdog. The value lies with the Tigers here.

Washington Nationals vs New York Mets New York Mets

3* MLB Game of the Night on Mets -1.5 -117
I'll back the Mets on the run line behind one of the best pitchers in baseball. Santana is 6-2 with an ERA of 1.50 on the season and is 3-1 with a ridiculous ERA of 0.81 at home. The Mets should have their way with Zimmerman. He has posted an ERA of 6.00 over his last 3 starts and not surprisingly, the Nats lost all 3. Santana is 50-9 against the money line as a favorite of -200 or more since 1997, with his team winning by an average score of 5.3 to 2.8 in these games. Take the Mets on the run line.

5* NBA Playoffs Revenge GOTM on LA Lakers -5.5
After a 19-point Game 4 loss, you can expect the Lakers to bounce back strong on their home floor tonight. In fact, the Lakers are a perfect 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU loss. LA is 25-3 SU in its last 28 home games with the Nuggets and the Nuggets are only 3-11 ATS in the last 14 games in Los Angeles. Plus, the Nuggets are only 3-7 ATS in their last 10 playoff games as an underdog of 5.0-10.5. Denver is 12-28 ATS in its last 40 road games versus explosive offensive teams - scoring 103+ points/game, losing by an average score of 102.8 to 115.1 in these spots. And lastly, the Lakers are 16-5 ATS when tied in a playoff series since 1996. I'll lay the number here.
