            Wednesday ...
            15 Dime Nuggets

            5 Eime Tigers

            5 Dime Mariners

Free pick - Under Nuggets/Lakers (See daily video for your analysis on this game)

            Note: Tough one to lose.

Bottom line is the Cavaliers needed to secure the defensive rebound with six seconds to go and more than likely it's a Cleveland-cover.

However, they don't secure the rebound, Lewis hits the trey, LeBron sends it to OT but at that point the "Chosen One" had nothing left and couldn't depend on his supporting cast; with that, a tough way to lose the 15 dimer.

Sometimes you really do have to get lucky to win games like last night and the break I needed to make it four straight winning days was not to be had.

Going to stay with exactly what I have been doing and not change a thing.

Why should I in the midst of this 3-of-4 winning day run and NBA playoff run of 7-3 heading into tonight.

Now let's build the +62 dime bankroll back to +80 dimes with a big winning night tonight.

15 Dime Nuggets - I honestly believe this statement tonight: a trip to the NBA Finals is on the line tonight when these two take the court. Two ways to look at it, and that would be LA wins big to steal the momentum, or the Nuggets keep it close enough before stealing one on the road and heading back to Denver.

Oh my ... will the NBA and David Stern be dealing with the Magic and Nuggets in the NBA Finals? A marketing nightmare for sure, but one thing is certain in these Western Conference Finals, ain't no team winning by a touchdown!

Forget the fact the Nuggets are getting "too physical" for the Zen Master and the biggest cry baby in the league, they're flat-out getting it done against Los Angeles. They're reminding everyone they were the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, and when you get to this point in the playoffs, none of that matters anyway. The lower-seeded Magic are up 3 games to 1, and the tattooed, physical, rough-and-tumble Nuggets have seized momentum against Los Angeles.

Whether or not they win this game remains to be seen, but they're sure capable of knocking off LA, I know that much. They're capable of winning the first half, and holding the Lakers off through the third, knowing the fourth quarter is all the purple and gold shows up for.

Denver's bench is playing ball. Denver's stars are playing ball. Dahnte Jones is tripping things up (couldn't resist) to put fear into the Lakers. George Karl has the defensive prowess he loves to employ working well.

This is a team that is playing very aggressive, and I don't think the Lakers are used to that, nor are they in a position to figure out how to attack back. They're not used to being bullied.

Tonight the Nuggets are going to keep things close and win or lose, stay inside the number.

5 Dime Tigers - Like the way this kid Rick Porcello overcame the rough start to his first month in the majors - 1-3 with a 6.23 ERA in April - and has becoming dominating during May, winning his last four starts and posting a 1.13 ERA. This kid has allowed three runs over 24 innings and is clearly going to be a part of the rotation this summer. And while I know the Tigers have dropped three of four after a season-high seven-game winning streak, they are in a good position to swing the sticks in this matinee, after being shut down by Zack Grienke last night. Today they get Kyle Davies, who is more of a straight-away kind of pitcher and who will make enough mistakes to get us the money.

5 Dime Mariners - Like our chances with Erik Bedard, who is 3-3 with a 3.07 ERA in nine starts against Oakland, and who hasn't allowed a run in his last 16 innings versus the Athletics. In his first meeting against the Athletics this season he gave up three hits and struck out seven over 8-1/3 innings of a 1-0 victory at Oakland on April 12. It adds to the domination of the A's over his career, as the southpaw has allowed one run and six hits over 22 innings, while striking out 22 batters in his last three starts against them. I know the A's have won three in a row and the common MLB system play is to take the home team to makeit four in a row, and that Seattle has lost five straight on the road; but Bedard is just what the doctor ordered tonight.
