4 years ago I would be all over Pat Hills team as a home dog..but off a loss last week where they blew a huge lead to a mediocre Wisconsin team, I have no faith in the once vaunted Bulldog defense against a well coach, highly polished Bronco attack on offense. Broncos defense allowing just 4 ppg! Already defeated Pac 10 so called power Oregon on blue carpet on national TV. Bosie clearly the best team in the WAC. 61-10 last year and have beaten the Bulldogs by an averagwe of 24 ppg the last 7 years....FSU has not made up 51 points worth of ground since last year.....I sniff a double digit win here by Boise. This really is their toughest game left..maybe Tulsa....but no doubt they will be focused.

8 Unit Pick GOY #908 Take Atlanta (-1.05) over Philadelphia (Sept. 18, 7:35)

I have said a couple times in late August here at Docs that if a team in the national league east would catch the Phillies it would be the Braves not the Marlins. Well that isn’t going to happen but as we look up at the standings we see Atlanta on a seven game winning streak and now 4.5 games behind the Rockies for the wild card. Big time series for Atlanta this weekend and in the first game we get to face J.A Happ what I think is at the right time. Happ has missed his last two starts after straining his intercostal muscle on September 7th. Before that Happ was in a grove and in my opinion pitching over his head. He could have been hurt in his start vs. the Giants on Sept. 2nd where he gave up four runs in six innings but regardless it is tough to go back out on the mound and try to get back that momentum. The Braves will send Tim Hudson to the bump making his fourth start back from Tommy john surgery, he was good in his first two but struggle in bit in his last start at St. Louis where the Braves did win. This Braves team is hot and has scored six runs or more in six of their last seven wins and I think they will hit Hap tonight. Pleas note to list the starting pitchers in cause Happ is scratched

The Cardinals have a 9 game lead over the Cubs in the Central but for the Cubs it probably feels like a 90 game lead. Cubs are already shutting down pitchers and playing the young guys so tonight the Cards should kick their losing streak behind them. Cardinals have won 5 out of their last 6 games at home against the Cubs.

(Game of the Month) LA Dodgers just swept the lonely Pittsburgh Pirates in three games and has won seven of its last nine games so they come into this game on a small winning streak. For LA coming into this game on a nice winning streak is huge and I feel the LA Dodgers will take the first game in this series. The Dodgers have won 4 out of their last 6 meetings against the Giants and the Giants are 0-6 when Jonathan Sanchez starts against the Dodgers.
