MIAMI OHIO over Bowling Green by 1

The 4-5 Falcons kept their bowl hopes alive with a come-from-behind victory
at Buffalo last Tuesday and if they want to keep it going they’ll have to do
it against an opponent who they’ve only defeated once since 1997. The 1-9
RedHawks have dominated the series, winning 9 of the last 10 SU and 8 of 10
on the ATS scoreboard, including all four SU and ATS as dogs. While the Falcons have been money in the bank on the road against losing opposition with a 10-0
SU and 9-1 ATS log, and are 5-1 ATS away off a SU dog win, we’ll lean to the
hard-trying ‘Hawks who have cashed a trifecta by winning the last 3 games SU
in the series – all as pups. Make it a superfecta!

NO ILLINOIS over Ball St by 20

Gonad fans have been nothing but blue since starting the 2008 season 12-0.
A win over lowly Eastern Michigan, despite passing for only 1 yard, may have
halted the Cardinals’ 9-game losing skid (and HC Stan Parrish’s personal 32game
skein), but fans once again have their heads hanging low after a 20-17
Halloween home loss to Ohio U. And it only gets harder as they end their
season with the top three MAC West contenders, including this Thursday
night visit to Dekalb. Jerry Kill’s 6-3 bunch will be looking to avenge a 4514
thrashing from last season and they have the Huskies to do it. They’re
averaging over 30 PPG and their three losses were by a combined 12 points.
Talk about a “Ball-drop” – the Cardinals were installed as 8.5-point favorites
two years ago on this field and now arrive as 17-point dogs. Don’t let the
double-digits scare you, as the hosts are a solid 3-0 ATS in LHG’s versus
conference opponents. Our system book says NIU will go for the “Kill” and
    so do we.

South Florida over RUTGERS by 3

The Big East joins the weekday mix but this one’s not worth missing ‘CSI’ or
‘The Mentalist’ over. Both squads will be bowling for the 5th straight season
but minor ones at best. Good and bad ATS numbers litter both sides as Greg
Schiano’s Scarlet Knights are a solid 7-1 ATS at home with rest but just 4-9 ATS at
home off a SU dog win. Meanwhile, Jim Leavitt’s crew enters with a steady 5-1
ATS mark off a SU dog win but a winless 0-4 ATS Thursday log. With the visitors
looking to avenge a 49-16 home loss last season – their worst ever in Big East
competition – we’ll jog with the Bulls tonight in New Brunswick.

        Randall the Handle

Florida +1.81 over BOSTON (REG) Pinnacle
The Bruins are playing much better but they’re still struggling offensively and we could catch them a bit flat tonight after a four-game stretch that saw them play Detroit, Montreal, Buffalo and Pittsburgh. Those are four games the B’s get up for, as the Sabres and Habs are perhaps its two biggest rivals and everyone gets jacked up to play the Red Wings and Penguins. Now they get a “breather” with the Panthers coming in and it’s also worth noting that the Bruins have the Penguins on deck again on Saturday. The Panthers record is not a good one but they’ve played much better on the road and that could be attested to the fact that their building is empty when they play at home. Contrary to what some think, the Panthers are a dangerous team. They have plenty of good, young talent and recently won three in a row before back-to-back losses to the Caps. It also appears that the Panthers will get two healthy bodies back tonight in Domenic Moore and Radek Dvorak. The situation is a vulnerable one for the B’s and frankly, they really can’t be trusted as this big a favorite right now. Play: Florida +1.97 (Risking 2 units).

Minnesota +1.33 over TAMPA BAY (REG) Pinnacle
Speaking of good situations, this is another one that favors the visitor. The Lightning return home after a four-game trip that saw them play at Philly, Toronto, Montreal and Ottawa. After playing to four jam-packed houses in which there was excitement and motivation the Lightning will now play in its atmosphere-less own dead arena. Teams are rarely sharp coming home from a trip and it’s very likely a lot more difficult to come home and respond to a three-quarter empty joint. The Lightning are coming off a win but only once this year have they won twice in a row and that came over Carolina and Florida. Meanwhile, the Wild are feeling it with four wins in five games including consecutive road wins in Pittsburgh and Toronto. They also beat the Rangers and Dallas over that stretch and it’s also worth noting that Niklas Backstrom is in the zone right now. Backstrom has been brilliant while Tampa Bay still has some goaltending issues, as neither Mike Smith nor Niittymaki has been consistent. We’ve all seen the Lightning pull a number of no-shows this season and this is an extremely unfavorable spot. Play: Minnesota +1.33 (Risking 2 units).

R.Vinciletti Thursday NCAAF System Club Play

On Thursday night the system club play is on Bowling Green. Game 107 at 6:00 eastern. Bowling Green is a solid 11- 3 vs losing teams, including 8-2 on the road. In weeks 10 through 13 the Falcons check in at 7-1. Miami Ohio is in the midst of a terrible season and is 2-9 vs losing teams. Look for Bowling Green to hand them another loss here tonight, in this weekday MAC conference game. Those looking for a Thursday night bomb. Consider a 21-2 system play in the Thursday night NFL game and a solid 90% system in the early TNT NBA game which features the Cavs and Heat. Dont miss these two Power house plays. Jump on and cash out now. For the College play take Bowling Green. R.Vinciletti

                Bears at 49ers
                Pick: 49ers -3

Expect SF to snap its 4-game losing streak vs. a Chicago team, whose defense has slipped dramatically this season. Expect Alex Smith and his supporting cast to burn a Bear defense licking its wounds after allowing 41 pts. vs. Arizona last week. 49er WR Crabtree and TE Davis should have big games vs. hurting Bear secondary.

NCAAB THURSDAY UNDER THE RADAR PLAY

#507 GEORGIA ST. PANTHERS @ #508 NC STATE WOLFPACK 7:00PM EST
PLAY ON #507 GEORGIA ST. PANTHERS +10 -110 FOR 4 UNITS

The Georgia St. Panthers will be a senior driven team with 6 seniors on the roster this season. They closed strong a year ago, as they have begun to come together. Add in a good recruitting class, and the Panthers should definately be an improved team. The same can't be said for NC State. The Pack finished just 6-10 in the ACC a year ago, and will likely be worse this season. They have lost their top 3 scorers, and return just 1 double-digit scorer. While Lowe has recruited well, the top prospect failed to qualify academically, and his best class won't be on campus until next year. It's going to be a year with a lot of freshman on the floor, and a lot of inexperienced holdovers taking the court as well. That doesn't bode well early in the season, and I'll go with the experienced team here, that is on the improve. Georgia St. gets the call.

                      San Francisco

Note: As I release this play around 4 Eastern on Wednesday, there are more 3's than 3 1/2's both in Vegas and offshore. In either case, I would absolutely buy down to -2 1/2 or 3. And if this line inches up and you're saddled with -4 - even after shopping for the best price - go ahead and buy down the half-point to -3 1/2 on the Niners.

Pick: 1 unit ATS: Ohio State Buckeyes -16.5 (-110)

Ohio State is 11-3 ATS last 3 years after scoring 80 points or more. Last year Ohio State allowed only 62 points per game overall and 58.3 points per game at home. Dukes are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 road games vs. a team with a home victorious % of greater than .600. Dukes are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 Thursday games. Buckeyes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Thursday games. Buckeyes are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. Buckeyes are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 non-conference games. Ohio State is currently ranked 17th in the nation. Ohio State defense should pressure James Madison a lot tonight. James Madison will be without Devon Moore and Dazzmond Thornton tonight. We'll recommend a small play on Ohio State tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky
