4 Unit Play. #805 Georgetown +5 over Villanova (12 pm Big East Network)
4 Unit Play. #820 Take Charlotte -8 over Saint Louis (4 pm CBS College Sports) Both of these teams play much better at home and I just do not believe that the Billikens will be able to control the tempo playing at Halton Arena. The 49ers are 6-1 at home and the Billikens are just 1-4 away from the Gateway City.
4 Unit Play. #832 Take Portland State -7 ½ over Northern Arizona (4 pm Altitude)
4.5-STAR DENVER -6.5 over Utah - In this spot yesterday we had Utah and it was a big winner. However they have failed to cover in six straight against Denver and with no rest against 3 days rest tonight, we don't see that luck changing
There is an extremely comparable situation to this that occurred at almost the same points last year. On January 25, Utah came into Denver on no rest while Denver had four days off. As a 7.5 point favorite, the Nuggets prevailed 117-97.
Utah smoked Milwaukee 112-95 last night, but the Bucks still scored 3 points more than expected. The Jazz are 0-19 ATS (-12.3 ppg) since November 08, 2006 on the road, not among the last two games of the season, after a home win in which their DPA was positive and they scored less than 127 points.
With a fast paced game, Utah was able to get away with committing 20 turnovers. The Jazz are 0-9 ATS (-8.1 ppg) since December 15, 1995 on the road after a home win in which they had at least five more turnovers than their season-to-date average. Also, they are 0-7 ATS (-10.9 ppg) since March 23, 2007 after a home win in which their field goal attempt per turnover ratio was less than four.
Carlos Boozer was the biggest offender in the game, committing six and dishing out four assists. The Jazz are 0-8-1 ATS (-6.9 ppg) since November 09, 2008 after a win in which Carlos Boozer had more turnovers than assists.
The Bucks had 13 steals in that game, while the Nuggets also had the ball stolen from them 12 times in a 18 point win over Orlando on Wednesday. These teams react a little differently in these situations. The Jazz are 0-6 ATS (-7.3 ppg) since March 24, 2004 as a dog after a win in which their opponent stole the ball at least twelve times. On the other hand, the Nuggets are 7-0 ATS (5.8 ppg) since November 11, 2008 after a home win in which their opponent stole the ball at least twelve times.
Anthony Carter has done a nice job dishing the ball out lately, and in that last game had six assists and two points in 20 minutes. The Nuggets are 7-0 ATS (13.5 ppg) since March 23, 2009 after Anthony Carter had more assists than points the last two games.
Denver has managed to stay a top team in the West with everyone banged up and now the stars are back and healthy and ready to make a run.
