Baltimore has suffered two one run losses so far in this young season. The Orioles will send Brian Matusz to the mound in search of their first win of the season. A lot is expected from the lefty who could be a surprise pitcher this year. He beat the Rays last year in August doing just enough to win giving up four runs and seven hits in 5.3 innings of work. Among those looking for their first hit against him are Carl Crawford (0-3), Gabe Kapler (0-2), Pat Burrell (0-2), BJ Upton (0-2) and Willy Aybar (0-2).

Jeffrey Niemann hasn’t had the best of luck against Baltimore in his young career. He is 3-2 with a 5.75 ERA and a WHIP of 1.85 against the Orioles. Baltimore hits .348 as a team against him with Brian Roberts (8-18), Nick Markakis (6-16), Matt Wieters (5-7), Ty Wigginton (3-6) and Nolan Reimold (1-3) all doing the best.

The Sox were truly dismal last night scoring 3 runs on just 2 hits, and doing nothing at the plate but take advantage of Fausto's lack of control (6 walks). Their manager ripped them after the game, and I expect a much better effort tonight!
Gavin Floyd is absolutely money at home, pitching for the Sox. I try and find a way to back Floyd every time he's on the mound, because I believe his stuff is that good.

INdians starter Masterson is a guy that I'm not too sold on. He's fantastic against righties, but he hasn't proven that he can get lefties out with any consistency whatsoever. The Sox have guys like Teahen, Pierzynski, Pierre, and Kotsay that all bat on the left side and can really give Masterson issues (both with power and contact). Play the White Sox Thursday night
