ROCKIES -- There are a lot of factors going into this one, and they all point to a blowout win for the Colorado Rockies over the Nationals, who continue this nine-game road trip on the heels of a three-game set in New York. I admit, the Nats are surprcsing some folks with this 19-15 start to the season, and the fact they’ve split their first two road trips, but this is not a good spot.
They’re playing their 10th straight game in as many days, this one being their fourth in a row on the road, and have to play in the Mile High City against a Rockies team that is hungry for a breakout series. Colorado has won eight of their first 14 at home, and could be in the right spot for a blowout, as Washington starter John Lannan is appareently going to be on a pitch limit. He missed a start against Florida on Saturday because of left-elbow discomfort, he threw a bullpen session on Monday without having any problems with his left elbow, throwing between 60 and 65 pitches.
In three starts against the Rockies, Lannan is 0-1 with a 7.41 ERA, including one start this season, as he gave up four runs and 11 hits in six innings on April 21.
Jhoulys Chacin is going for the Rockies, but I’m not worried about their pitcher. A Run Line play always lists the pitcher automltically, and I just want you to make sure Lannan is the Nationals’ pitcher of record when making your wager.
