Normally, when the home team loses the first two games of a series, we look to play them as underdogs in a desperate Game 3 on the road. In this game however, we simply feel that the Boston Celtics have proven to be a better team than the Orlando Magic despite what the teams did in the regular season.

Boston coach Doc Rivers now looks like a genius for giving his aging starters limited minutes during the regular year, costing the Celtics wins that had some uninformed fans calling for his head after finishing fourth in the Eastern Conference, with even the mediocre Atlanta Hawks finishing ahead of them.

Well, with the Big Three fresh for the post season and Rajon Rondo coming into his own, the Celtics have closely resembled their championship team of two years ago in these playoffs, especially on the defensive end. In fact, the 92 points they allowed vs. the Magic in Game 2 was the most points they have allowed since their only bad defensive game of the playoffs in Game 3 vs. Cleveland, a 124-95 loss. They then allowed less than 90 points in four straight games.

The Magic looked like the best team in the NBA in the first two rounds, but it is now apparent that had a lot to do with the competition they played. They are now facing a reality check, and those easy wins did not prepare them adequately for the defensive pressure they are facing in this series. Orlando is shooting just 41.5 percent from the floor over the first two games while putting up 88 and 92 points respectively.

Now this line is being kept reasonably low, mainly due to the fact that many feel the Magic will bring their best effort with their season on the line. While that is probably true, our contention is that Orlando is simply not good enough to compete with the Celtics at home right now, especially after losing at home in Game 2 while in desperation mode.

Boston has supplanted the Magic as the hottest team in the East right now, and we look for the Celtics to cover what we actually feel is a rather cheap number with relative ease on Saturday night.
