On Sunday the free play is on the New York Yankees. Game 929 at 8:05 eastern. The Yankees qualify in a road favorite system that is 18-5. What we want to do is play on certain road favorites if the total is 8 or less and they are off a road favored loss at -140 or more and lost by 2 or more runs and they scored 4 or less runs, provided their opponent is off a home dog win and scored 5 or more runs. The Mets took game 2 on Saturday, setting up tonight's rubber game. Looking at both teams in this situation we note that the Mets are a horrendous 0-6 in rubber games while the Yankees are 5-1. The Yankees score over 5 runs per game vs leftys this season, while the Mets struggle vs all pitchers, especially with runners in scoring position. In the pitching match up we have a real good one. CC. Sabathia goes for the Yankees and he has allowed 2 runs in 15 innings in his last 2 starts on the road vs the Mets. J. Santana takes the mound for the Mets and he has struggled at times this year. In his last start vs the Yankees he turned in one of his poorest performances of his career. Santana allowed 9 earned runs in just 3 innings vs the Yankees in a start that was very similar to his last road Sunday night ESPN start where he was shelled vs the Phillies. Zach Duke finally showed up this season against the Phillies, beating Halladay a few nights back. Atlanta is not a good road team and the Pirates should put up enough runs behind great pitching from Duke to win today's game and getting money. Take the Pirates.

Note: The most interesting thing about this game is the fact that the Royals Bullpen has been one of the best in either league over the last 10 games and I am positive that is a major factor in why they are 7-3 during this stretch. The Rockies Pen has been very good all year and although they have gone through a sub-par stretch, they remain pretty solid. That is good for us here as we have two starters that can and often go long into baseball games and both are in good form right now with Cook allowing just 4 runs over his last 13 innings, and Greinke just 5 during the same tenure. This KC Thrower loves this venue we call Kaufman Stadium and once again this year has great numbers here with low ERA and WHIP. There are a lot of Trend Worthy things going on for this contest but I am not going to into depth on that. Colorado is not nearly as potent when traveling and especially verses righthanded pitching. They will face one of the best today for sure. My Model shows 8 or fewer runs here at 58.9% of the time and that is good enough for me.

Note: This line is moving fast so I wanted to get this one up ASAP. Interesting to note that Halladay Thrown games are 5-4 UNDER this year but in the 4 Overs, the Phillies scored 10, 7, 8, and 11. No doubt tha Phillies can produce runs but they have not been as prolific of late and without seeing a knuckler very often, they might have trouble doing so today. They do have a lot of aggressive hitters on their squad and that plays into the hands of Wakefield. We do have favorable weather conditions for this contest with winds blowing in from rightfield and that is always good for righthanded pitching. This park has had a lot of UNDERS this year at 14-8 and a lot of that has been due to the strong Philly Starters and Pen. My Model shows that this number will not be obtained 59.3% of the time and I have to agree..
