double-dime bet 978 CWS (-116) Bodog vs 977 TEX
Analysis: If there is one thing I've learned in watching Mark Beuhrle over the past few years it's the fact that when he gets hot, you've simply gotta throw your money at him, and watch him double it. Beuhrle has always been an extremely streaky pitcher, and we're catching at an amazing time today. Here's a guy that pitched fantastic two starts ago, and then came out and pitched 3 shutout innings in his last start before getting tossed. So, not only are we getting the guy on a hot streak, but we're getting him fully rested on a hot streak (since he only through 40 something pitches in his last start).
On the other side, I really am a fan of Rich Harden, but he certainly isn't performing outside of Texas very well. He's tough on the opposition, because you know he's only going to throw fastballs and changeups, yet he can still be extremely dominant, even with only those two pitches. However, the issue today is not just the fact that he's had some rough starts on the road this year, but also the fact that he's a strikeout pitcher. Meaning that even if he is pitching well, we'll likely see him for no more than 6 or 7 innings due to pitch count.
Also, we've just got to keep in mind that this Texas ball club is a completely different team on the road. They are just 8-15 on the road this season. Today, those struggles should be exemplified with a starter on the mound who struggles to hold it down on the road, and facing a starter for the Sox that seems to be catching fire! I like the Sox to win this one 5-2.
