Im sure there is money to be mad at it no doubt but it is really complicate with the different odds and the sheer number of leagues, I may dabble if I can find a solid capper to ride but im still not overly commited... world cup betting thst i was watching shyed me away quite a bit

I'll take the hottest hitter in the field in Holliday, who has hit 5 home runs in his last 6 games. Holliday can do it all, but when he decides to take a big cut at it he doesn't mess around. That's indicated by the fact that Holliday's average home run in 2010 is 412.3 feet, which is a better average than any other contender in the field. He is in some kind of groove right now and will come into this competition with a lot of confidence.
If you want to go for more value, then Chris Young (+1200) might be worth a shot with his ability to pull the ball with power.

VR Morning Moves with HR Derby

2010 HOME-RUN DERBY BEST BETS :
I really believe that this will be won by a RH Batter…Because of the fact it’s much easier to hit a HR in Left Field than it is in Right Field…after doing some work on the “Park Effects & Conditions”…So we can immediately remove a big favorite, David Ortiz from the equation…And I will also remove the switch-hitting Nick Swisher as well…
That leaves us with “6” contestants that I believe have the edge on that fact alone…And now it’s time to narrow that field down…
For starters…the fact that Chris Young has only hit 4 of his 15 HR’s on the Road…and Hanley Ramirez has only hit 4 of his 13 HR’s on the Road…makes me believe we can eliminate them and narrow this list of potential winners down to “4” contestants…
And of those “4”…Wells, Hart, Holliday, & Cabrera…I believe Wells, who only hit 32% (6) of his 19 HR’s on the Road…when looking at his “pay-back”…can also be eliminated, and allow us to narrow that list down to only “3” contestants…
Of those “3”…the odds on Cabrera are the worst…And truth is, rather than only get +350 or worse…when there are “3” remaining, as well as 5 who can spoil the party…I believe you are better off betting that the Winner of the 2010 Home-Run Derby will come out of the American League…at a price of -170 or better…
Because this way, you have those contestants who may surprise you as a back-up…
But to win the Home-Run Derby, I like to look away from the BIG FAV…and see if I can find some value elsewhere…And I believe that I did, because we have “2” contestants left that I believe are offering up some excellent odds…and plenty of value if the Fav goes down…
Those “2” are Corey Hart at +600 or better…and Matt Holliday at +550 or better…And you can even go ahead and take +150 or better that an NL representative gets the win…and have them both, along with a back-up or two…
Or, use the AL at -170...as a HEDGE BET for our Straights…Remember, this is a market so treat it like one and try to exploit it as much as you possibly can…Now here’s some stats on our choices…
Hart, has 21 HR’s…is projected by Davenport to hit 45 by season’s end…And more importantly, he’s hit 43% of those on the Road…
Holliday, who may only have 16 HR’s…and is only projected to hit 34 by season’s end…is still in the running because not only has he hit 63% of those 16 HR’s on the Road…but he comes in as one of the hotter hitters of the bunch…And over the L/30 days has hit 10 HR’s…which leads EVERYONE in this field…
So since we are nicely ahead of the books for 2010...I believe we can step up and take a shot at picking up a nice score over the break…And since the worst case will leave us still “65 UNITS” ahead for 2010...I believe that the reward is definitely worth the risk…

TO WIN 2010 HOME-RUN DERBY : (Always Shop for Best Price, Especially on Prop Bets)

1.) COREY HART +600 (+650 at Pinny)…..(1.5 UNITS)
2.) MATT HOLLIDAY +550 (11/2 at Bodog)…..(1.5 UNITS)

Finally, don’t forget to use the information that I provided above…to find as many opportunities to profit as possible…I myself will definitely be working the market, based on how many different props I can find with worthy positions…as I go to a handful of different sports books here in Vegas…as well as use all of my “local” & “off-shore” outs…Because there will definitely be some positions worth taking based on my work…
