The White Sox used a hot stretch to get back in the race, but are 2-6 in their last eight and they have fallen completely out of it. The Twins have dominated this series with a pair of 9-3 decisions, and what life the White Sox had coming into the series, is now gone. The Twins are 21-6 with a total set from 7-8.5 in their last 27, while the White Sox sit at 0-5 in that same situation. The Twins killing the White Sox overall with a 21-6 mark the last 27 times these teams have squared off, and dominating them in their own park to the tune of 10-2 in the last 12. Back in July, I made this line Cincy -4, so now that the Bearcats have come a dog I have to take the line value with a team that I project to win the game that is getting points. Note also that NCSU was not as impressive as the score showed last week against UCF (not that a 28-21 win is super impressive) as the Wolfpack really only got the win thanks to two defensive scores.
