It’s time for the Yankees’ A.J. Burnett to start earning some of that big money they are paying him. I’m banking on him bringing his best stuff to the park tonight and scoring the big win for New York and drawing even in this ALCS.

Burnett (10-15, 5.26 ERA) had a brutal regular season but he can make all the fans forget about that tonight with a big start in Game 4. Burnett did see the Rangers three times this season and pitched very well in his home start on April 17, allowing no runs and six hits in seven innings of the 7-3 victory. Since joining the Yankees, Burnett has not allowed more than three runs to the Rangers in six outings.

Tommy Hunter (13-5, 3.75 ERA) is scheduled to pitch for the Rangers tonight. Four of his five losses were on the road. He faced the Rays in the ALDS and allowed three runs on six hits over four innings and fell 5-2. The Rangers have dropped four of his last six starts, but he did get a crack at the Yankees on Sept. 11 and he held the Bombers to two runs over five innings of a 7-6 victory. One bad note for Texas is that they are 3-7 when Hunter starts on the road against a winning team.

New York comes in on several positive streaks, including 8-3 in the playoffs, 61-22 at home against right-handers and 8-3 in home playoff games.

The Yankees were embarrassed by the Rangers and starter Cliff Lee on Monday night and you’ll see a much different Yankees’ team tonight. I expect them to make contact tonight against Hunter and send some balls out of the park. Lay the chalk and play the Yankees at home tonight.

Everyone loves the under here. I am not quite sure why. Are these 2 pitchers capable of throwing a 3-1 game? Sure but past history says it won't go like that. The ball flies much better during the day in SF than at night. Hamels has allowed 13 ER in 25 IP over the last 2 years vs SF. The San Fran offense is built to score in bunches if you walk batters like Cole Does. Cain is 0-3 w/6.25 ERA vs the Phils. Utley is 7-15 w/3HR. Rollins is 6-10, Howard has 2 HR vs Cain. We have a nice over ump in Ted Barrett. I will take my chances here that one team will carry the load.

I really like the Texas Rangers in this game vs the NY Yankees...for everyone who has been following my picks, thank you and as you all know I have Texas +400 in this series and +850 to win the World Series...I'm sorry I didn't back Texas yesterday and I went with the Under instead costing us dearly...if not for the Yankees imploding in the ninth, we were cashing another easy winner...tonight's game is huge for both teams...AJ Burnett has struggled this year and down the stretch to say the least but he has pitched well vs Texas...I think the long layoff and the way Texas is swinging the bats, NY is in for another long night...the Yankees are also struggling at the plate...N.Swisher is 1-for-11, M.Teixeira is hitless in 11 AB's and Alex Rodriguez is just 2-for-13...the Yankees are 0-11 in Burnetts last 11 starts vs. a team with a winning record...the Rangers are 7-0 in their last 7 games as a road underdog...I like Texas
