400-Unit NFL Monday Night Mismatch - DALLAS COWBOYS
If there was ever a team that needs to be in desperation mode, it’s the Dallas Cowboys tonight! And I think we will see a team that comes out and plays its best game of the season and delivers a 10-point win at home over the Giants.
Dallas outgained Minnesota 314-188 last week but still lost 24-21 because of more stupid penalties. That won’t be a problem today because they know more penalties will equal another loss which will mean they are done for any kind of run to the playoffs.
These teams played a thriller in Dallas last year with the Giants winning 33-31 when Cowboys’ QB Tony Romo was intercepted three times and Eli Manning had a game-winning drive that ended in a FG. Now the Giants come in on a three-game winning streak and with a defense that has its swagger back, allowing just 264.8 yards per game.
The Cowboys have been putting up points with 20 points or more in each of the last four games. It’s the penalties and special teams blunders that have keep them from the win column. That will be gone tonight as they play their best game of the year.
Dallas comes in at 4-1 ATS in its last five games as a home favorite of up to three points. New York is on ATS slides of 3-7-1 after a non-cover, 5-12 overall and 2-6 after a straight-up win.
The Cowboys have the third-best offense and the fourth-best defense in the NFL. There is no disputing that, they have the talent to win their division and be a threat in the playoffs. Tonight, they will piece it all together and beat up the Giants in this critical game.
Lay the small points and go with the Cowboys. They are a 1-4 team that is favored over a 4-2 team that has won three in a row. There is a reason for that! Play Dallas.
