      STEVE DUEMIG
      Tuesday
      10 Dime - OVER Boise State/Louisiana Tech

Boise is ready to start their stretch run and the heart of their schedule with their game tonight against the Bulldogs. This is a team they struggled with last year on the road, but the blue turf is on tap tonight in front a nat'l audience. I was watching the come out line on this one and something very strange happened for the very first time this year since the opener versus VA Tch. It wasn't jumped on and run up like it normally does. Sharps are always looking to place the first bets on Boise because they know how high the public can run it up on game day. Boise is a very public team and usually are bet way up off their opener. Well guess what? It didn't happen this time. Perhaps Vegas is tired of running out a line that's considered too low, no matter how high they put it. This is a high line and it stayed at the opener over night at 37.5. If you see it higher today beware it may finally be too hig, especially with a big game against Hawaii on deck.

One thing that did move slightly was the over up a tick as of this posting from 62. I believe this game easily gets to the 70's why? Okay.. Last year the two teams played to a 45-35 final at Tech. Last year, Tech had the 2nd best defense in the conference. This year they don't have anything close giving up over 500 yds of offense in 4 games already. Also, this year the Bulldogs run a very up tempo offense. Get this. In their last game against a decent Idaho team, they ran an incredible 97 plays on offense for 683 yards!! Boise usually avgs in the 60's plays per game. La Tech also has two dangerous return men on special teams that can add to the scoring.

Boise starters are prepared to start playing the entire game starting this week. Get this, their all everything QB Kellen Moore has NOT taken a 4th qtr snap in October and only two second half possessions in October so far. That my friends is unreal and they still have covered every number!!!!! Think Coach Petersen isn't going for the style points?

                  OC Dooley

“1 UNIT” COLLEGE FOOTBALL SIDE (Boise State -37’ at home versus Louisiana Tech in a 8:05 eastern kickoff broadcast on ESPN2): It seems like the oddsmakers cannot post a number high enough for Boise State who has won the last 3 outings by a combined score (164-14) that is so large that they successfully covered the spread each time. Of course with the Broncos garnering a lofty #3 national ranking, it is imperative that they tally “style points” even though facing highly inferior conference opposition. This contest reminds me of the “TCU/Air Force” clash this past Saturday where the still undefeated Horned Frogs won by a comfortable margin even though it was Air Force who came closest to defeating them during the 2009 schedule. It was one year ago when Louisiana Tech (45-35 final score) gave the mighty Broncos a scare which has actually helped to slightly reduce tonight’s price tag. Another reason why tonight’s money-line has not soared out of control is because Louisiana Tech quarterback Ross Jenkins is coming off his most impressive effort of the season throwing for a massive 422 yards. But the fact of the matter is that tonight marks just the SECOND time in the past month that Louisiana Tech has had to play on the ROAD where they have basically been untested. In their lone road outing in the past month the Bulldogs (+8’) failed to cover the spread in an ugly twenty-point setback where the defense surrendered a hefty 41 points. That is bad news considering that Boise State’s offense is putting up an average of near 48 points per contest. Boise continues to ride an NCAA high 31-game regular season winning streak and they have successfully COVERED the spread 9 of the past ten times they have been asked to lay at least 31 points by the oddsmakers. Do I hear 10-1 ATS anyone?!

                    The Duke's Sports

LA Tech Over (64) for 1.5 Units

LA Tech/Boise State 8:00: Boise State should have little trouble putting points on the board vs a Bulldogs' defense that allowed 48 and 41 points in two road games this season. Boise State's veteran offense behind accurate QB Kellen Moore is operating with machine like precision and should light up the scoreboard on a national TV stage to add to pad their BCS ranking. Boise is 4-1 O/U as a home favorite and 7-3 O/U as a double-digit favorite. LA Tech, on the other hand, has a veteran offensive line, an accurate QB in Jenkins (70% completions / 6 TD / 2 INT) who is showing progress adapting to Dykes' spread offense, and targets Ikharo, Casey, and yet to emerge Livas who is overdue for a big game. And Tennessee transfer RB - Lennon Creer is gobbling up 6 yards per carry on the ground. We realize Boise State's defense has been nearly impenetrable over the last few weeks but this Bulldogs veteran offense does have unique versatility and should be able to score, at least in garbage time. The Bulldogs are 5-1-1 O/U in conference games and this series is 5-2 O/U. "Over" the call.
