400-Unit NBA Early Season E-Z Winner - NEW YORK KNICKS

New York struggled with Orlando last season and got slaughtered three times. The main reason is Orlando center Dwight Howard was able to do whatever he wanted in the middle. And when the Knicks would try to double down on him, the Magic sank uncontested three-pointers. With the addition of Amare Stoudemire, Howard isn’t going to be so free to do what he wants now. That’s why I’m going to grab the points and play New York in the first meeting between these two this year.

Stoudemire is 11-1 in his career against Orlando and he’s put up four straight double-doubles against the Magic, averaging 23.3 points and 12 rebounds when going head-to-head with Howard. Also look for big contributions from young Wilson Chandler who posted 22 points and 16 rebounds in the home-opener for the Knicks on Saturday, losing 100-95 to the Blazers.

We all know about Orlando’s last game, that 96-70 loss in Miami on Friday night when they shot just 30 percent from the floor and 16.7 percent from the three-point line and turned the ball over 16 times. Of course coach Stan Van Gundy decided to have an intense practice after that game, looking to improve the outside shooting that has them at 25 percent for three-pointers this season.

Shooting like that gives the Knicks a real chance to win this one, and will definitely get them the cover.

New York is on ATS surges of 4-1-1 as a home ‘dog of 5 to 10 ½ points, 16-5 on Tuesdays, 3-1-1 at home and 3-1-1 overall.

Stoudemire gives them the inside presence to contain Howard tonight. Go ahead and grab the points and play the Knicks.

On Tuesday the Free NBA Play is on the Portland Trailblazers. Game 711 at 8:05 eastern. Portland is off a loss last night in Chicago and has no rest with another road game looming. However Portland is one of the few teams that have excelled in this scenario. Portland is 11-1 straight up and ats on the road off a road with no rest. Best of all they have 6 straight up dog wins in this setting. Un fortunately I do not have a Power system to tie into the big team trend, hence the free play. Portland is a solid 60-14 vs losing teams the last 3 years and have covered 9 of 13 in Milwaukee since 1996. The Bucks are under .500 right now but in the end will be over .500 in their conference. The Bucks though are just 29-58 vs winning teams the past 3 years. Look for the Blazers to get the cash as a small dog. On Tuesday I have a rare 92% Power system side direct from the database as well as the Sun Belt Conference winner in College football backed with 3 power angles. Monday night card swept the board with the SF Giants and the under in the Monday night game. For the free play take the Portland Trailblazers. GC

Rarely do you see NBA teams playing with a sense of desperation this early in the year but that’s exactly the case tonight with this Philadelphia team. New coach Doug Collins was brought in this

Off-season expecting to coach a playoff contender and this 0-3 start can’t be what he envisioned when he signed on in the offseason. Collins is a no-nonsense guy who ripped his team after a loss to the lowly Pacers on Saturday and has undoubtedly practiced his team extremely hard since that defeat. The Sixers actually do have talent but have wasted minutes on guys like Spencer Hawes and Jason Kapono who are rightfully now out of the rotation. Elton Brand, Andre Iguodala, Lou Williams and Evan Turner are all talented players and on paper are just better than the guys the Wizards will put on the court tonight. Without Gilbert Arenas the Wizards roster is extremely thin with castoffs like Yi Jianlian and Al Thornton playing big minutes while the bench produces the likes of Cartier Martin, Nick Young and Hilton Armstrong. In no universe are any of the five guys just mentioned even rotation caliber players and it’s a result of years of brutal cap management and trades on the part of GM Ernie Grunfeld. For Washington to be -170 on the moneyline is simply a mistake on the books part. The Sixers offer up tremendous value because of their desperation and the fact that they simply have more talented players than the Wizards. Consider this one of the few early season oversights on the bookmakers part. Play: Philadelphia +1.53 (Risking 2 units).
